Just wanted to share the most amazing thing that happened today. Took our kid shopping for his dad's Crimble present, which he bought with his allowance. While waiting our turn, he spotted a video game that he had been wanting for quite some time & it was on sale for a really good price & he had enough money to get his dad's Crimble gift and the video game. When our turn finally came, just as he was paying for it, the cashier reached in back of the drawer & handed our kid a $10 bill & said: "Someone in the line in front of you gave this to me & told me to give it to you to use towards your purchases. Looks like you have a Secret Santa. Merry Christmas!" Our kid thanked the cashier & wished him a Merry Christmas. Then he took one look at my face & said: "Mom, don't you dare cry in the store! If you cry, I'll go wait for you outside!" There were 5 people in line ahead of us, so there was no way I could even get an idea of who this wonderful person might have been.
When I got home & said to my husband: "You'll never believe what happened to me!", he replied: "Do I have to go & kick somebody's ass?!" (I've had jerks hit on me, even in the presence of out kid.) I told him no & when I told him what had taken place, he said he had chills going up & down his spine. We're usually the ones who are generous with others & this isn't something that happens to us.
