      THIS DAY IN McCARTNEY/MPL HISTORY (Love that?)

      January 30, 1956 Elvis Presley records his version of "Blue Suede Shoes." "Blue Suede Shoes" was composed by Carl Perkins and published by Carl Perkins Music OBO MPL.

        FEBRUARY 1, 1964: The Beatles' first Number One hit "I Want to Hold Your Hand," topped the Hot 100 and is Number one for seven weeks.  Then replaced by the single "She Loves You" by The....Beatles.

        FEBRUARY 1, 1972 Wings release "Give Ireland Back to the Irish" in U.K.

        FEBRUARY 1, 1976: SONNY & CHER REUNITE FOR A NEW VARIETY SHOW AFTER THEIR DIVORCE AND SOLO TV SHOWS CANCELED.  THE OPENING FROM SEASON TWO WITH A McCARTNEY SONG FOR OPENING.

        FEBRUARY 1, 2018: THE THREAD WAS MOVED. 

          FEBRUARY 4, 1969: THE BEATLES APPOINT EASTMAN & EASTMAN AS GENERAL COUNSEL TO APPLE CORPS --- THOUGH HISTORY SAYS IT.  TODAY, EASTMAN & EASTMAN IS THE LEGAL REPRESENTATION OF MPL.

          FEBRUARY 4, 1977: Wings release their single "Maybe I'm Amazed" (LIVE)

            FEBRUARY 13, 1972 "GREASE" the musical opens the first show on Broadway.  Paul's MPL owns the pub rights through Edwin H. 'Buddy' Morris Music & Co. which McCartney accquired in 1976.

            In 1978, the motion picture version and in 2016 the Fox TV live version
