I thought this was going to be a story about cocaine.  He's far too old for that nonsense.

I really hate the way some passengers will take the outside seat and stick their legs out as a way of preventing other passengers from taking the inside seat. They do it all the time on trains and buses just so they don't have to sit next to someone they don't know.

A Working Class Hero sitting in the 2nd class seats. Quite appropriate! Why does Cat Stevens and PEACE TRAIN come to mind? :)

I always do the same thing too!    I have to have a "buffer zone"  If there's no room and people really need a seat, I'll scoot over though, lol

Because of who he is, I can understand why Paul needs to establish a certain comfort level as well, lol  There was a photo I saw from the last time he rode the train where people were sitting next to him while he read a magazine or something  so people do end up next to him.   If there was a heavily pregnant woman or an elderly person with a cane or walker, I can picture him to be the perfect gentleman and give up his seat.
