Ringo64: I have the other version of the C64 game but I don't have a system to play the game. Weirdly, I just like the packaging. Maybe it's something to impress people with at parties "look, I have the Paul McCartney video game!!!!" (or not)

Is there another single besides NMLN from this soundtrack? I don't think so..

Just for the record, I thought John & George were actually the best actors in AHDN. Paul just tries too hard. Of course John got the best (and funniest lines) and George's segment is a classic ("Who's this Susan when she's at home?") Laughing

I like it, but that has a lot to do with nostalgia for me as I liked watching the movie as a kid. I do think NMLN "Not Such a Bad Boy" and "No Values" are great. To me the film version of "So Bad" beats the Pipes of Peace version, less embellished and like the way Paul sings it better than the original. Interesting fact, I read somewhere that the three tracks they do in the rehearsal space were done live and put on record that way. It's an enjoyable record for me, but not one I play a lot, although "So Bad" is on my son's lullabye playlist.

I always thought that segment seemed genuinely live . What about Paul's vocal AND bass performance on So Bad - wow ! - and live too !

Can anybody send me in the right direction to read about the "rehearsal" sequence from GMRTBS ?

I'll admit, I like this movie too for what it is. No it's not the best movie by any means, but I enjoy watching it! Laughing

I just got a used AHDN DVD and was watching the film and the extras, and Richard Lester says he thought George was the most "on" - not too much, not too little. He was kind with regards to his wording about Paul, saying he was often the most "theatrical," saying that Paul was the most awestruck by that world, having at the time an actress for a girlfriend.

I think Ringo's quite brilliant. This was my 4th time watching it, and the only thing I wished was that the script could have matched John's wit and wordplay.

Paul was "awed by that world"--and "theatrical"--why didn't he play Romeo in Franco Zefferelli's "Romeo and Juliet" when asked, then? Sad

He reportedly didn't think he was right for the part.

At the London premier when (in the film) his manager says 'We've found the tapes', Paul (in the audience) shouted out 'thank gawd for that'. Laughing

Even Paul was fed up with it all by then.

Yes, plus he thought that at 26 he was too old to play opposite 16 year old Olivia Hussey! Shocked (I'm sure she wouldn't have minded though!)

I must confess that I love it. Even the dream sequence. A guilty pleasure, for sure.

What was the story with Harry and the box? I don't mean in the storyline of the film I get that, but on one of the radio shows the Beatles did for BBC radio there is a comment about Harry and his box. So who was the real Harry? Seems to much of a coincidence.
