Since I read that Sir Paul McCartney is going to tour in Japan, I hope he uses this as a platform to highlight the disgraceful slaughter of dolphins and whales by Japanese
murderers of these helpless, highly intelligent mammals.

I agree. I've had about all I can take from Japan.

So I guess Sir Paul can't talk about this while he is in Japan?
I don't understand why he cannot defend the helpless dolphins and whales the Japanese murder in torturous ways??? Disappointed.

I think Greenpeace would appreciate it as well.

I wondered why he wants to tour there, with all these atrocities going on, and his being such a famous advocate for animals. I didn't want to say that here but finally did. Wonder why anyone else hasn't pointed this out?

atrocities are happening EVERYwhere in the world, in every nation, in every home (by funding it and eating of it).

if Sir Paul decided to not tour a particular nation due to 'atrocities' being committed on 'their soil'/in 'their waters', then he also would equally have to not tour ANYWHERE else.

some kill whales. some kill cows. some kill chickens, goats, fish, lamb, sheep, dogs, cats, geese, ducks, et al.
some kill bigger ones, some kill smaller ones.

              ALL kill.
              no nation is innocent.
every single nation he has toured and will tour has atrocities against animals of all types going on.
the evidence - what is on one's supermarket and plate in every nation.

but yes, it would be wonderful if he could openly speak out against what is particularly going on against whales in Japan, since he is already respected and known for such advocacy.

but no, not touring somewhere due to a particular type of atrocity of which various forms everyone else everywhere is guilty of, would be hypocritical.

Thanks for setting me straight, teacher but what I meant to say was I specifically referred to these particular outrages of dolphin and whale slaughter in Japan, in this instance. Also do they still club baby seals to death, there? That's an especially bitter pill to swallow

yes, and if any 'boycott' happens (not touring a certain location) on his part due to any type of animal atrocity, then ALL nations would/should be equally blacklisted, because while some may kill whales, some may club seals, some may kick and smash cows' and pigs' skulls with hammers, some may cut the throats of chickens, etc., etc.

he would have to boycott the US, Canada, UK, Europe, South America, Africa, Caribbean, Asia, Middle East, Australia (well he already sort of has ) and everywhere else..
it's just different animals being murdered..

the killing of no one type is no less of an atrocity than the other.
in fact it is more horrific what goes on EVERY SECOND towards all the other animals who end up in the groceries and on plates (including on the plates of many FANS of the MAN who urges everyone, including via video to go vegetarian... so if his own fans won't listen to him about something basic against killing animals such as 'go vegetarian now', then what to speak of expectations on speaking out to a whole nation and expecting any more 'response'.
if those who claim to love him and adore him don't even listen to his pleas, then what can be expected from others?)

                  and you're welcome...

I just think since Sir Paul does not usually miss a chance to speak/write his thoughts about animal/human rights ALL over the world to leaders whenever he feels the need to do so, what is the difference with Japan and while on Tour there?
I am not suggesting he should be rude to the Japanese people. But NOT saying anything while he has the chance to enlighten them to this terrible plight is missing a perfect opportunity imo. Just a subtle comment if nothing else.
But I don't have a clue what Sir Paul is doing maybe behind the scenes, I hope it is something.
