Can't believe it's been 16 years since the Concert For New York City...the first "official" concert by Paul's current band.

For young Rusty Anderson, opportunity knocked! It is the silver lining of 9/11.

That was my first Paul concert experience and have done 102 shows ever since

            Awesome!!! It's never enough!

This was also my first time seeing Paul perform.

It's hard to really explain how I felt about the show because I think I like so many others was still numb, but to see so many performers come together for all the right reasons was really magical.

I must be slacking because I just hit 30 times seeing him this year in Newark

                You're not slacking...30 shows is a lot!
                But...102 is REALLY A LOT!!!

Do all of you who went have connections to first responders?

I didn't...I bought tickets as soon as it was announced.

Hmmm all these years I never knew there were tickets to that on sale to the public! Don't know why I thought otherwise, but maybe they would've been out of reach to me then.

I had hoped 12/12/12 would be another special one, but it wasn't really the same thing.
Brian seems to have completely forgotten about it! https://youtu.be/-jzO7_Q4Ugw?t=1m4s

Yea...you're right. While both concerts were amazing, the Concert for New York City felt very different. Most important, in my opinion, was the feeling all over the world following the tragedy of 911. In addition for all the McCartney fans, this would be the first time Paul was going to be on a New York stage in more than 8 years! Also, he had a brand new band and LP. While I enjoyed both events, the Concert for NYC was special!

I bought my ticket originally from I think Ticketmaster and they were $500.00 which I did not mind spending because of where the money was supposed to go.

12-12-12 ticket I got from a friend I don't even remember what it cost.

Both shows were great but as has been said CFNYC was just a different level from 12-12-12
