      I'll be there!

        I'll be there

Hello, Greetings all. First post- I too shall be attending the Tampa show for Sir Paul McCartney. First time able to see him in concert. Anyone hopeful of Ringo making a guest appearance since his birthday is near the date?

Ringo is hosting a birthday bash in California on July 7th, so I am seriously doubtful of this. At most, Paul might make mention of it and play "Yellow Submarine" like he did in Pittsburgh, but that concert actually fell right on Ringo's birthday.

And by the way, welcome to the board!

Is this your first Paul concert?

Is this your first Paul concert?

The VERY first one!! Soo super excited! And feel extremely fortunate also, especially after hearing so many ticketing horror stories.

What is some advice, say things you wish you had known going into your first Macca show?

                  Woo-Hoo!

Hmm...first time advice...just live in the moment! Life is short and fragile so treat everyday as your last! Take plenty of pictures, but don't watch the concert through your camera (or phone). Talk to the people around you, everyone always has a great Paul story!...and don't leave until the lights go up! I'm always stunned by the number of people that miss the encore(s).

Absolutely- enjoy the moment! I am excited for the initial roar of the crowd for when he walks out, the way the goosebump hairs will stand when any plethora of classic Beatles tune plays, singing the na na na na part with the entire crowd during Hey Jude, ect... what of the getting to the venue early part. Something to do about seeing him ride by in his limo. You ever done that? What's the energy of the crowd like for that?

Limo watch is a blast!!! I've done it many times...not sure if I'll be able to in Tampa or not yet. I would get there in the 4-5pm range for it. Every single show is different though but one thing is consistent: Paul is never on time.

Yes, every moment is magical. I remember the first time I saw Paul when I was 10 years old in 2002 during the opening night of the Driving USA Tour. I'm 25 now, but I still remember the feeling like it was yesterday. The goosebumps of hearing him sing "Hey Jude" for the first time still resonate with me, and the energy from the people dancing at the show to His music that is immortal.

An experience you will never forget. It's magical..

My first Paul show was in 2002 as well. I had begged to go to a show in 1993 and offered all of my savings for the trip. But the closest city was 7 hours away and my parents were about to get divorced, so no go. Would have loved to see Linda play with Paul.

                              Keeping Tampa tops

My first ever concert was the Beatles in 1966 at Cleveland Stadium and now I get to see Paul in 2017!
                                Awesome!

You must have had a great time in 1966 - what do you remember most?

OMGosh! I most remember being one of the many teens who rushed the stage! The fence went down to the right of us and we jumped on and over the speaker stands and were right at the edge of the stage. A girl next to me was going to faint, so I helped her to the edge of the crowd. Lucky for me, that put me close to their trailer where they retreated as they stopped the concert. I'm pretty sure that my picture was on the front of the Plain Dealer the next day. Still have the tickets and headlines to this day!
Great Memories! Thanks for asking )

Under fifty days to go folks!!!

What an awesome experience! Thanks for sharing.
