My user name is my real name. I write about music for The Guardian, The Financial Times, Uncut, Classic Rock and assorted other titles. Please feel free to Google me to check I'm real. I've been asked by The Guardian to do a piece about super-dedicated fans, people who've loved and followed an artist across decades – travelling across continents to see shows, buying the merch, collecting the limited editions. It's not a sneery piece (I spend fortunes each year myself following one particular band, so I understand why people do it!) ; I see it being a warm piece about real people and ther passion. Would someone who inhabits these forums be willing to talk to me? My email is email@example.com. Apologies if I have breached protocols by posting this: I did read the forum guidelines and couldn't see this kind of thing being forbidden.
