YvonnesTheOne:He returned to opening with "Magical Mystery Tour" last night in Chile. No "Eight Days A Week".

Should have retired Magical Mystery Tour a long time ago, why not open with I Saw her Standing There or Good Day Sunshine. :

oobu24:...Of course he won't change nor does he read this nonsense of ours. And people keep complaining about the complainers as usual too. What's new? I guess all of this is like buying a lotto ticket. What are your chances of winning? But you still buy that ticket & you buy a little dream. You imagine what you would do with "that kind of money". Same thing with the setlist games...just daydreaming what if he played...what does it harm? I really don't see why people get upset over it. <shrugs>

Audi...sorry to hear that. One day we'll get a Flaming Pie tour or a Fireman show...or that winning power ball.

oobu24:yankeefan7...we continue to discuss it because this is a discussion board. Simple as that. Of course he won't change nor does he read this nonsense of ours. Yes, you are right it is a discussion board but just kind of think this subject has been beaten to death. It is kind of sad if he does not read or have his staff read the "nonsense" of people on this board. They are the ones who helped make him rich beyond belief.

Paul spent the '70s trying to out-do The Beatles. He no longer feels that compulsion.

The unfortunate thing -- for me and many others -- is that all of those '90s and 2K albums that so richly defined our youth simply can't compete with the impact that The Beatles had on the rest of the world's.

It's just the way it is.

I doubt in any of our lifetime's any musical group will ever have the impact The Beatles did in the 1960's. Even though McCartney could not have the same impact with his solo recordings in the years you mentioned, does not mean they are not really good and he should not play more of them live. As I have said on several occasions, I wish McCartney cared more about people like you and me who pay money to buy his solo CD's and not just the Beatle fans he is worried about upsetting if he does not play a certain Beatle song.

I think an audience of 2,000 reacting enthusiastically to "About You" and "Beautiful Night" could be as satisfying as 20,000 reacting enthusiastically to "All My Loving."

It could happen, if planned right.

That would be nice, I would be one of the 2,000 !!

                      As would I.

                        audi:As would I.

                        Count me in!

I wonder what's going to happen to Early Days, if anything IS going to happen. I know there is a NEW music video for Early Days OutThere, but I'm beginning to wonder if he's even going to play it live after he releases it, which can be whenever.

This song is too good and too POWERFUL to be ignored this summer. It's not only the 50th Celebration of The Beatles coming to America. But......Today......The day John Lennon met Paul McCartney, July 6, 1957 is what changed music forever. Early Days is the perfect song for NEW. NEW leg of tour, NEW Paul, NEW CD, NEW future. Everthing NEW!

He also has a video for Appreciate...and a darn big robot Wonder if that will ever make it?

I know I think he's saving that for Japan though.

I wonder if he will be swapping a song or two as he has done in the past? The next show will be interesting.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too....

During the last leg in South America, he was swapping out "Eight Days A Week" with "Magical Mystery Tour" as the opener, as well as "I've Just Seen A Face" with "Things We Said Today". Also he added "All You Need Is Love" to an encore and dropped "Benefit of Mr. Kite" for "One After 909".

And as we saw yesterday, he added "On My Way To Work" without dropping anything.

Anything is possible...like you said, should be interesting!

I think he should swap "Eight Days A Week" with "I Want To Hold Your Hand." I'm just a little confused as to why "Here, Today" is still there. I would have thought for sure it would have been replaced with "Early Days." I'm beginning to wonder if Early Days will swap with "On My Way To Work." I kind of wish that "On My Way To Work" would permanently stay, and that he switched "Here, Today" with "Early Days." But I highly doubt that would happen since that would be like 3 NEW songs back to back to back. That would be great! Imagine 6 NEW solo songs!! IF Early Days were to come in, it would probably be where "On My Way To Work" is currently. But only time will tell....

Five songs from his new album is more than Paul's played in a while, and I'm glad he added one of my favorites, "On My Way to Work" -- which sounded great live based on the YouTube clip. It will be interesting to see if these shows get "New" back onto the Billboard 200 chart in a week or two.

New Early Days video TODAY! Rolling Stone will be debuting it.
