      Poll

What do you feel the best course of action is for the United States in response to the events of last week?

      Trump should resign.
Trump should be impeached and removed from office.
Vice President Pence should assume office by invoking the 25th amendment.
Trump shouldn't be impeached or removed, but should face criminal charges for inciting a riot.
Nothing should be done. It's less than two weeks and Biden will be sworn in.

There should be another category: Trump should be impeached, removed from office AND face criminal charges for inciting a riot on a government building while Congress was in session. This way he will not be able to run for POTUS in 2024, or any other governmental position.

One problem I see is if Trump is removed from office prior to Jan. 20th and Pence becomes POTUS, he could pardon Trump!

So, maybe the best thing is to wait until Biden is sworn in and then charge Trump. I want him held accountable with no chance of being pardoned!

Agree with you!  We don't want Trump to be perceived as a martyr or a victim, which would just add fuel to the fire for his followers, but at the same time I feel he should be held accountable for what he's done.

The problem, as I see it, is that Trump has normalized bad behavior.  He says one right thing out of 100 bad things and after his aides have begged and pleaded with him. People will take that one thing to say "See, he's not crazy" Then the next day he'll say he wants to take back the one good thing he said. He has been conditioning people that this election was going to be a "fraud" way before election day. He has been conditioning people that this Covid is fake, all the while as we heard on the Woodward tape, that he KNEW how dangerous it was.

Mary Trump the Psychiatrist,  says he is extremely dangerous and needs to be removed IMMEDIATELY. Psychiatrist Dr. Dodes a regular Psychiatric consultant also agrees to the extreme danger, remove him NOW. They are the experts saying a lot of damage can be done in 10 days. Do we want another insurrection?
