My wife and I are going to Motor Vehicle on Friday to get our "Real ID " driving license which will be required to fly domestically and enter some federal buildings. Everyone has until May 2023 to get this done in the US. You have to supply a whole bunch of things to prove you identity like passport, Social Security card, drivers license and certain type of bill that has you name and address. I believe if you don't get one, you would need to have passport with you to fly domestically. Crazy world we live in now -lol
I got mine in March 2020 before the poop hit the fan. I was in & out relatively quickly. They were giving me a hard time because my birth certificate (maiden name) was different and I didn't have my first marriage license! Had divorce papers + 2nd marriage where I got divorced and changed back to my 1st husband's name so me and the kids had the same last name. I had my SS card, 2 utility bills, driver's license, and she's still giving me crap. I whipped out my passport, slapped it down on the desk and sai "Will this do?" YES! TA DA! So bring every dang thing you can think of!
