Hope everyone is having the above,  I was watching  the Buffalo Bills game on Sunday and when they came back from the commercial Wonderful Christmastime was being played on the stadium PA system.   Brought to mind video of him doing it live in Glasgow three years back.  As the song says, that would be something!

I've always liked this song. I think it has a very cozy, comforting feel to it which I like, and I think goes well with Christmas time.

You are right.  It does exactly what a Christmas song should, evoke a positive feeling to match the season.  It's like in The Lyrics where he said We All Stand Togethet was for those with young ears or something like that.  Many critics make the mistake of listening to his music with the assumption that he is always striving for the next Hey Jude, Live and Let Die or whatever.  Sir Paul is good enough to have produced an abundance of variety that needs to be appreciated for what it is.

            Well said John.

              Well said John.

The song flows along nicely until Paul starts pounding away on that synthesizer which does not fit in any way with the melody or mood of the song!  IMO

It is amazing that this song winds up on lists of worst Christmas songs. It is just a fun/bouncy song in tradition of the holiday and never intended to brilliant piece of music -lol. You want to hear bad Christmas song, listen to Springsteen doing "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and it is just awful, sounds like he is shouting instead of singing - ha ha.

Totally agree with entire post! 👍

(The moon must be in the 7th house and Jupiter aligned with Mars!) 😂

I was surprised to learn that, too. It's one of my favorite songs.
