Saw Paul & Ringo together on stage recently on The Nightly News last night.

On the news today at noon a male reporter and a female meteorologist were talking after he had said that Paul was working on yet another project. She said, "Well, can we really get enough of The Beatles?" He said, "The answer is...No!"

On Beat Shazam last night, the category was Going Solo. The song was Got My Mind Set On You by George. I think 2 out of the 3 couples got it right. The 3rd couple thought it was Band On The Run! 😂

On Jeopardy the other night (teen championship) the category was Whose hit album? For $800, Released in 1969 “Abbey Road”. The boy contestant got it right: Who are the Beatles?

Aug. 1st, Dana Carvey was on Lights Out With David Spade. They were talking about the anniversary of Woodstock. Dana says, Ironically, the biggest band in the world didn’t play Woodstock and they were...The Beatles! They were asked. In those days they weren’t that wealthy. They drove there. And Paul McCartney told me this. (Dana goes into a bit doing all the Beatles voices) They got lost and Ringo was driving. “I don’t know which way to go boys!” And Paul was in the back going “It should be a left!” And John was like “No, I think it’s a right! You gotta go over the hill with the hippies and yuppies urinating in the bushes you know.”  (As Paul) “And we never found the place and we went to a seafood place and John said I’ll have the walrus!”

                Funny! That's Dana alright!!

On Mr. Mercedes Sept. 17th, this guy is watching a video of a famous author (played by Bruce Dern) who he had shot and killed during a botched robbery. The author is saying “You know, you shoot Joe Blow the plumber, nothing. That’s one thing. But then you kill John Lennon, that’s a whole ‘nother thing.”

On the special “Stephen King: Master Of Horror” someone said “Stephen is the literary equivalent of The Beatles.”

(I have every book he has written!)

On one of the ID shows (true crime) they were showing a home video of the victim when she was about 12 in 1995, holding the booklet that comes with the Sgt. Pepper CD, and she says to her friend "Where can we find the best pictures of The Beatles?"

On the last episode of Hawaii Five-O, Magnum and the this other actor, Bobby Lee (Mad TV) dressed up as John & Yoko for a Halloween party.

On Saturday Night Live last night, Chance the Rapper is playing a guy who is normally a commentator for basketball, but someone is sick, so he is pressed into service for a video gaming competition called League of Legends. He clearly has no clue what is going on! One of the other commentators says to him, "Walk us through that last match." He says, "In a nutshell, there are 10 nerdy dudes sittin' down at computers with headsets on, while 20,000 people scream like they were watching The Beatles."

It was such a funny sketch!

Watch the video (E-Sports Reporter) here:

Harry Styles hosted and was the musical guest on SNL last night. In his monologue he said, "I was in a boy band called One Direction. Wouldn't it be crazy if they were here? (They're not) Niall, Liam, Louie...and uh...Ringo! Yeah, that's it!"

On SEAL Team tonight they were on an op in Paris, doing surveillance on a building across the street, and were describing the people they saw. The one guy described an older woman as a hippie. Later, his teammate said "Grandma's a Bohemian, by the way. Hippies are strictly American." The first guy replies "Right. John Lennon was strictly American."

Alan Cumming was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon telling a story about how he owns this bar in NYC and how Emma Stone and Billy Jean King had been to Paul's concert that night. They showed up at the bar with Paul in tow! Alan was going to play the piano and asked Paul if he wanted to sing something. Paul said "I just sang for 3 hours at Barclay's!" But then he accompanied them singing on the harmonica (probably his tiny one!) 😂

Here, I found the video link:

This was not the Beatles per se, but Paul was a Beatle! On two shows recently they played his song Wonderful Christmastime: Beat Shazam and mixed-ish.

                                      Last night, THREE mentions/references!!

On Watchmen, the episode title was "See How They Fly" and a cover version of "I Am The Walrus" was played at the end over the credits.

On The Case With Paula Zahn had a story of a murder that took place in Atlanta in 1975. They were showing various scenes from back then and one was a shot of the Miller's Rexall Drugs that Paul used for Run Devil Run.

On Family Guy, Meg was trying to locate a particular mall Santa she had taken Stewie to, as he was not at the mall she had been to first anymore. She goes to about 20 malls and the names get progressively crazier (Lucille Mall, Anthony Michael Mall, Mall & Oates) and the last mall she goes to is Mall McCartney & Wings!

Today on E.T. they were talking about how, after 25 years, Mariah Carey's song All I Want For Christmas Is You finally hit #1. They said it was her 19th #1 hit, only behind The Beatles.

On the Doctor Who premiere, the older man companion apparently got an ECHO for Christmas and he's yelling at it, "Alexa, play Rubber Soul!" (no answer) "Alexa, play Rubber Soul!"  Alexa: "The nearest shoe shop is 1.2 miles walking distance." 😂

Happy Xmas (War Is Over) was playing in the background of the show This Is Us. Then later they played a Joni Mitchell song that references Give Peace A Chance.
