@kestrel Looking at the list of songs being "called out" here, definitely makes me think that ( Beatles career aside) not only was the 70s Paul's "hay day", but in particular his Wings period was his particular hay day. 😀

      The calendars!

Were the calendars, Linda's calendars? I have a couple of hers, I'd like to get some others. There is one photo of hers, a fence next to a tree with a dew covered spiderweb. Does anyone know if this was ever for sale, or the name of it, so I could put it in my search on Ebay wish list

Nancy R, I was five when I first heard this song. So I'm just a bit older than you. But music was my first love..I remember so much of that time when I was a babe. Song for the day...

      LiveForever:

Was "this" close to buying tix for the 2013 Fenway show...luckily Washington DC was announced like two days later though! Still, Boston woulda been fun.

Being that I'm also a former Fairfax County resident (graduated from Lake Braddock HS in Burke and my dad now lives a couple of hours south down in VA Beach), I was actually in a similar position, but with the shoe on the other foot The trick was that I had already scheduled a trip to FL the very next morning after the Paul concert, and we had to leave very early in the AM...so I considered other NE venues, both well before and well after my scheduled vacation...but ultimately stuck with the local venue and dealt with the serious red eye the next day (I could catch up on my sleep the next night anyway...LOL)

Lack of sleep is a small price to pay for McCartney live....no matter the venue! I for one didn't get much sleep that night anyway...layed awake reliving the whole night over and over....

I don't know what the "protocol" or whatever for this type of thing is around here, but if anyone has any idea where I could find an audio recording of this show it would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking all over and can't seem to find one. Seems strange considering the size of the crowd that no one taped it. It was one of the best nights of my life and I would love to have an audio souvenir of it.

If you have HBO with your TV provider, you can get the HBO Max app for free. I watch it on my iPad.

      Thanks! I’ll do that then

Yeah, all you guys were front & center! Nice. I'd love to be at such an intimate gig.

The real amazing thing is that the middle of the main hall  was so congested and nobody seemed to realize the roped off line to the side along the wall. We never thought in a million years we'd be up front but when we walked through the curtain, low and behold front stage was practically empty!! We wasted no time filling those spots

      Yup!

Folks, these latest omicron variants are SUPER contagious! Suddenly several people in my orbit have it -- more than during previous surges. Happily they're all vaxxed and boosted so no one's in the hospital, but everyone reports what's much like a very bad case of the flu -- it totally knocks you on your a** for a week or more.

Meanwhile, I'm beginning to suspect that I have "long COVID" -- in my case, otherwise unexplained muscle/joint pain in both knees and ankles. It's not disabling -- so far -- but damned unpleasant. A recently CDC report lists "musculoskeletal pain" as the second most common long COVID symptom, and that one in five COVID patients (one in four of those over age 65) have prolonged or belatedly appearing symptoms.

Kids, this is NOT fun. Be careful out there!

Sorry to hear this Bruce (and you too paulfan11) This is why I still wear a mask everywhere I go. (even though over 90% of the people here are not wearing them anymore unless they have to like in a doctor's office) Just got some new KN95 4-layer masks in black. I also have some N95 ones that have straps around the back of your head and fit snugly.

Important point! Cloth masks are only slightly better than nothing. Get N95s or KN95s. Because the world has decided to pretty much let the virus run rampant, it continues to develop new and diabolical mutations, some of which make it more contagious and/or help it evade immune responses. Protect yourself as best you can.

And thanks to all for the good wishes. If it doesn't get worse, my situation is manageable. But you really, really don't want this, and some people have it far worse than I do.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous ten Paul McCartney Archive Collection reissues in their deluxe edition format.

I can understand that projects like this may not always encapsulate all of the releases I and oithers would like to see reissued due to changes on many levels, such as the artist's ongoing involvement, sales, company participation, etc.

I would just like to add my vote (if such a thing is acceptable) to continuing this wondeful line of reissues.

Thank you so much to Mr. McCartney, the behind the scenes staff, the relevant engineers, etc. for a job well done.

      Sincerely,

      bbrownlie

I knew "Audi" left but still miss his posts and music. "Suzy" had different takes on things and her posts were interesting, have not seen post from her in some time.  I believe we head from "Wix" more when Paul was touring, I  don't remember him posting much about other things.

It is kind of hard on forums like this what to make of it when you don't see somebody posting anymore. Are they tired of this board or maybe something has happened to them? Let's hope that those we have mentioned are doing ok and them not posting is a personal choice.

Audi asked to be banned from the board when all those other guys got banned. He was fed up. We've been in touch and a couple years ago he interviewed me about the Beatles for his radio podcast, but haven't heard from him since.

Love2travel has been in touch with SusyLuvsPaul who had been sick.  ETA: Just checked and I sent her a PM last June that she never answered.

With this Covid crap you never know - I just heard my (female) neighbor 2 doors down died of it! (I didn't know her, but heard from my nextdoor neighbor who mom & I have been friends with since 1986)

I finally heard from SuzyLuvsPaul after she got out of the hospital. She sounded good. Then after a few messages, she stopped answering again. Have been praying for her.
