All I am
-
All I am is a woman A woman born a few decades ago Into a less than perfect world Yet a lonely one All I wanted to do Is to be the best Me that I could be Yet it was very hard At such a young age. All I could be is what I was Not what others wanted of me Not what others thought I was Too bad some didn't bother to look inside Often I am simply what the Universe Made me, A woman With her intuition growing For ever improving, forever trying Now still all I am Is still a woman Standing back once more Taking a good look at all the picture of life Sometimes one looks at all others have They miss out on what they do have Then they forget to check and see That what they have is pretty good Is it a wonder that others who are around Think a fantasy person exists in place Of all the being one haves And that one lives in their mind Imagine if I had Does little good to try to recover it The lost things can be replaced Yet not so with the all that I am By Doris Ridge Mendlovitz
