If some day had come

If some day was today Then would it be too late Too late to say hello or goodbye Or write that one great poem If the day we waited for had come Would we have time to tell those we Knew That we Loved them We wish we knew them better Again If we waited for some day What if that day were finally here Would you really know what to do Or would you be lost in a fog When the day has gotten here Would you really have time to say What you dreamt and hoped Or would you just say you were crazy If just a day were the last one Would you try to make the most of every moment Or would you simply be you Or would you try to do some unthinkable feat All the promises of some day Things will get better Some day things will Change Yet well which day some may ask Just delays and afterthoughts might be all that would be left One might resent their delusions Painted my negative thinkers of the one they spoke of Or perhaps they would Believe any stronger clouded behind their hate Perhaps understanding might be buried underneath Maybe an inkling would begin to shine through. As we get older We find that sooner or later That some day will come How will we be ready for that day Will we smile Will we forgive Will we shine Or will we gloom in our doubts Hopefully when that day gets here If it is here already Did we learn the lesson of that life Or is the next one in the shadows waiting to call us there by Doris Ridge Mendlovitz

Just read it again Doris... I really like it...it says so much! This is no dress rehearsal... And I think we tend to forget that...
