Help me out - I think I might have the bare skeleton...

...of song I've written. I thought I may have run into something a few months ago when I was trying to self teach myself Paul's 'Celebration' and in my 'screwing up', came up with something half decent and original...but I think ultimately, it just sounded like 'Celebration' with mistakes... So in the past few days I've been playing with a piano riff that I do think may be something different (although parts of it sound familiar)...I don't have midi or anything I can record on...so all I can do you post what I have (it has no words yet...if it ever will). But anyway, here's what I've been doodling with: Verse basically is a riff that holds a C bass note the entire time while the chords are C G F C repeated 2X...played at a slow tempo. The chorus is still played somewhat slow but picked up a bit from the tempo of the verse. And it goes Am, D, F, C - Am, D, F and G (Both F and G played hard and for more steps - although in my total lack of musical notation, I can't tell you how many more steps - but you know...for that dramatic transition back to another verse), then back to C to repeat the chorus (the chorus is the part that feels somehow familiar) ... I have no bridge, no words and I'm not even sure of a proper melody...but it somehow feels like a start...anyone want to help? LOL Btw, the only other thing I can add is when I transition from verse to chorus, I hold the C chord while striking the B chord for a transitional bass note before hitting that Am chord

I think I figured out why the chords to the chorus sounds familiar...it's not too disimilar to the verses on Give Ireland Back to the Irish...except played a lot slower...LOL...but it may only be that F to G part that gives the dramatic transition back to where Paul goes back to screaming 'Give Ireland Back to the Irish...etc)...may be different chords, but similar structure...LOL

I'm stuck on "the goodbye Song". Ican't go forward until that is properly recorded, but I can try to give you some lyrics to it. You may like them, you never know. Just get back with me. Maybe we can blend in voice and make a band. They've been calling for one for the website for ages. I guess now is as good a time as ever. 3love
