I'm glad he ended up with Nancy. She seems VERY good for him.
shes amazing. paul is a very lucky man indeed. infact in a recent post on here i have been slaughtered again by a 'certain' poster for offering what she considers is a cruel and evil opinion on pauls voice. however that same poster as recall had some amazingly disgusting opinions on pauls current wife about 7/8 months ago on these pages. she basically implied that nancy was ugly and a criminal. i will never forget it ,it has stuck with me since then. of course the 'certain poster' was just jealous.i think everyone could see that clearly but im still amazed that anyone could have a bad word to say about 'nancy'...she is a sweetheart and i think she is the best thing that has happened to paul in decades!

Nancy is soooo good for Paul. Maybe we should get a Nancy thread & ask her to ask Paul to change a few songs that would better suit his voice now. And Nancy certainly has been looking Fab at all these recent occasions.

...Alison's amazing. Just so talented. Have most of her albums. She was fantastic with Robert Plant. Kudos to her and Union Station for picking an 80's Paul song.

Finally able to watch this show and I have to say it disappointed. Opens with Cirque du Soleil which was alright, the effect is probably lost on TV. Paul does Magical Mystery Tour which isn't bad and Juniors Farm which is great. Alicia Keys is up next with a version of Blackbird where she accompanies herself on piano. Nice enough. I did enjoy Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas doing No More Lonely Nights. A good "country" version of a fantastic song. Duane Eddy's take on And I Love Her is rather pointless. It features Paul's band backing him while he essentially plays the lead vocal on guitar...badly. Norah Jones then does a nice version of Oh! Darling. I've heard much better interpretations though. It's a little bland and lacking the soul that makes the original. Neil Young murders I Saw Her Standing There. Awful. Sergio Mendes takes on The Fool on the Hill with a version designed for elevator music. Awful, again. Decent version of We Can Work it Out by Coldplay. Pretty much what you'd expect from them. James Taylor taking on Yesterday. Again, just as you'd expect. His sweet distinctive voice is going a bit though which is a shame. Nice version of For No One from Diana Krall, nothing extraordinary though. Paul is back next with a version of My Valentine that is basically comparable to his performance at the Grammy's (without the awful white suit!!). Great renditions of Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five and Golden Slumbers feat. Joe Walsh and Dave Grohl are undoubtedly the highlights. Golden Slumbers in particular is stronger than it was at the grammy's a few (?) nights later. Cut from the official release are: Tony Bennett - Here There and Everywhere Foo Fighters - Jet Katy Perry - Hey Jude I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter - Macca
