Happy Birthday Chaos.

7 today, will we ever see the like again ?

I agree it's a very nice album, but perhaps he tried a little too hard to please the critics with this one. It's almost like Macca's "Plastic Ono Band" album or something - a bit too profound maybe? "Off The Ground - The Complete Works" is more my cup of tea.

A masterpiece. Paul's best album since Tug of War.

Agreed. However I think RAM is more like Paul's Plastic Ono. a lot of honesty and passion on Ram, which I don't personally get from Chaos. if I'm being honest, the songs on John's POB are much better than Paul's on Chaos, though much more basic and simply produced. I could listen to POB over and over. I can't even get through Chaos without switching to something else. but happy BDay Chaos none the less. I know for most of the die hards Chaos is where its at. I simply haven't boughten into it. I'm in a Flowers In The Dirt mood, and for my money Flowers runs circles around it. Jenny Wren, Friends To Go, A Certain Softness (for its songsmanship), and Anyway are solid. and Promise to You Girl is alright. Fine Line is a single thats a bit off for me. Riding to Vanity Fair and At The Mercy are two songs people like but I just don't care for. plus that album was WAY over hyped by critics. they had me expecting the next Ram, and it doesn't even sound like the same artist. which in a way is cool I suppose. To your point PrettyLittleHead, I'd take Off The Ground over Chaos by a long shot. I'd take Press To Play quite honestly. though thats close. but I think Press's best moments are better. Anyway is a song thats really grown on me though
