Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together
-
Concert on TV tonight...just wondering where Paul is. He is usually involved in these projects. What...no Hey Jude? "Bacon, Blige, Fey, Gandolfini, Roker and Stewart join the current lineup of previously announced performers, including Christina Aguilera (NBC?s ?The Voice?), Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Sting, with appearances by Jimmy Fallon (NBC?s ?Late Night with Jimmy Fallon?) and NBC News? Brian Williams" http://www.woodtv.com/dpp/news/hurricane-sandy-coming-together

The title of the concert hints that there is a Paul appearance. Hasn't he been in New York for the past few weeks? or did he escape the wrath of sandy?
-
I thought that was tomorrow night?

With all due respect to those affected by the storm...that made me chuckle, admittedly. Still, I have been wondering if Paul was going to be part of this event.

Well, we all know how well received his ahhh talents were at the last 2 live appearences in England...and a few here have even lost ummm...how can I say this...their status partly because of it.

Well, for me it's that over "Hey Jude". Maybe he'll play that new "Hosanna" song off of the new album...

LOL! It's just that Scrambled Eggs is such an oooold story. Rather hear something off his latest Fireman album. I hope he joins his buddy onstage...Billy Joel.

Wow, never really thought of that. Billy Joel is awesome, but he needs to tour more frequently! "I Saw Her Standing There" would be great... But maybe he could join Bruce for a makeup of HRC 2012!! They could actually finish their set!

Well, as long as Paul's there, I don't care what he performs.
-
Well no Paul at all. Hope he & his family made it through Sandy with no probs.
-
Didn't expect Paul one bit...it was only an hour program, and seemed very well layed out. Despite Aerosmith getting off track, I thought the whole show was superb! Highlight by FAR was the mega-jam on "Under The Boardwalk"

Yeah. Unfortunately I am one of those Sandy victims. It was a rediculous storm. Hope Paul is OK but my heart goes out to Staten Island. They lost homes, we only lost power! We are working through generator power.

Yes...it looks just terrible. Hope everyone up that way is ok.

Yes, this was the highlight of the show.

Agreed. It wasn't Paul's place. He stays out in the Hamptons, where I stay, actually my doctor met Paul and Nancy out there a few years ago. But Paul definitely didn't belong there.

Hurricane Sandy was a massive storm and has impacted many people over a huge area (not just NJ and NY though I understand why they have been featured in the media). Doesn't matter that Paul wasn't on the show - most importantly, please donate to the Red Cross so they can continue to provide help.

Was kind of hoping/wondering if we would see Paul on this. Oh well. I will be helping tomorrow to collect some supplies to send up that way. We know a thing or 2 about hurricanes in the Sunshine State ... my hubby's parents were without power for 2 weeks after Hurricane Charley. Prayers and thoughts for you King Macca and everyone else that's been affected by the storm!
