Black mark on Paul's concert shirts?
-
Ok, this has been "bugging" me for a long time.... In many pictures, from different concerts, I see a black mark, (that looks like an ink pen leak) on Paul's shirts. In pics from St. Louis, it appears on the lower right hand side of his shirt, just above the waist. I have asked this on Facebook and my friends seem to think it is a "bug", maybe along the lines of the Ralph Lauren Polo Pony trademark that is on his clothes. Makes sense to me.... Anyone else know anything about this? It's driving me crazy-if I ever get the chance again, I'll ask him myself!

It is indeed a bug in St. Louis, as my picture shows: http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/558979_10151293479306181_1779803982_n.jpg It's not unusual for bugs to be in big venues, and for them to be attracted to the bright lights on stage. Of course, they're going to head to the brightest, most lit up part of the stage, and that's usually where Paul is standing. They might also just have good taste in music.

Yeah it's printed on his shirt - when i saw him in 2009 i first spotted it and it's on my photos, all his gig shirts must still be made by the same people. Makes them a little more individual i guess
-
yes, it's been noticed a few years ago. But I don't remember what it was exactly...prolly a designer shirt. Maybe Stella's?

I already brought this up ages ago in the St. Louis thread and nobody answered me!

Some of my photos of him from the same show DO NOT have the black bug...just saying...

I saw it in more than one photo. It is not a real bug! A) It is too large B) It is November in St. Louis, for goodness sake! C) It's probably Paul's idea of cute--a flying beetle!

No need to yell! Like I said, the "bug" or whatever doesn't appear in all of my photos, but maybe his shirt is tucked in more in some photos? Oh, and I don't care if it's November or not, I scraped off a TON of bugs from the rental car's windshield on the drive down to St. Louis (from Vermont) and on the way back--they are still around.

That's a great shot of it-embroidered bug is the consensus, so far. Thanks!! I put it here because it IS about his concert shirts.....lol
-
I noticed this as well, but it looks pretty real! The only other time I've seen something similiar was at Fedex Field, and that was an ACTUAL bug...it moved up his shirt throughout the show anyone else remember the articles on this?
-
He had this shirt on in 2007 at the Electric Proms too. See it here at 3:44. It's hard to catch it. oh & BTW...GREAT HAIR HERE!!!!!

maybe it's an embroidered BEATLE?

That looks more like a piece of technical something or other for his guitar...can't say I'm a big fan of the hair that short either...but that is by far THE best version of Calico Skies out there!!!
-
I believe it is an embroidered bee, and it is probably the shirtmaker's mark. I have seen this on many of the shirts he has worn onstage in the last 5 years or so.

The "bug" is an embroidered bee. Dior Homme shirts have an embroidered bee on the bottom right hand side of the shirt. http://www.dior.com/couture/ecommerce/media/catalog/product/cache/11/image/7b8fef0172c2eb72dd8fd366c999954c/1/6/163C501B1581_C000_V1.png?___store=en_us

Good detective work! How much are those?
-
I don't know exactly as the Christian Dior / Dior Homme site doesn't quote prices, but many of the Dior Homme shirts I found listed online are upwards of $500.

Doesn't say. You have to shop at their Vegas store. Maybe it's cheaper without the bee.

Thanks gnome!!! Finally, mystery solved!!
