A new version of "Heart Of The Country" by Paul
-
A friend of mine from the maccablog show us on this website, a video compose of drawing illustrating the song of Paul & Linda McCartney. The audio seems to be a new version never heard of heart Of the country that seems to be record now. The voice, look like Paul's Voice, but his actual voice, not his voice from the 70's. The arrangement is strange, there are some harmonica The person who post the video is new on Youtube and only havce one video posted and the psuedonyme is "linda McCartney"... Strange ! I was wondering if it was Paul or someone who sings almost exactly as him ? The description of the video don't give us clue ! Here the video
By the Way, I've add a comment on the video, to see if the person gonna reply me or not -
It certainly sounds like Paul and given how strained the vocal is,its probably quite a recent recording.
-
Must be the new Linda McCartney food advert that was talked about a while ago!
-
Sounds just like the current Paul. I like the original better, but no way he could hit those high notes now.
-
I like when he does different versions of his songs. I like the original but this is cool.
-
I'm that desperate for new McCartney I'll take anything! Even shortened remade old McCartney!!!

Exactly! I'll take anything. I would love him to start revisiting some of the material from the '70s that he hasn't featured. I like this. Of course the original is the best, but I think it'd be kinda cool to hear Macca cover some of songbook with a contemporary twist.

Cool version! I hope the full length song will be released sometime

It isn't particularly faithful to the original melody, is it? Sounds a bit haphazard.
-
Interesting video! I wish the full recording had been included in the deluxe edition of RAM.
-
Paul could've sang it in its original arrangement if he wanted to. His falsetto voice is very much robust and vigorous. His recent re-recording of "Baby's Request" is another reminder that he still has his ol' vocal magic here n' there.

May be I'm so sensitive now (for personal issues) but hear this version makes me cry, not for his voice wich is still nice, but thinking how much he loved Linda, and how much he does till today, is a love who never dies...

Flippin love it

There is an entire thread devoted to this here: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85693&highlight=

Love the animation on this and the clear, clean vocal, too. What a great song. Anyone else realize that this year -- on April 17th to be precise -- marks the 15th anniversary of Linda's passing. The animation looks like a tribute to her -- whether or not it's for her food company, it's brilliantly done. And isn't Paul participating in some exhibit of Linda's photography in March, somewhere in Austria? I'm guessing -- and hoping -- we'll see a few tributes to honor this lovely woman on the 15th anniversary of her death.
