Happy BIrthday Yoko! i ii iii She looks great at 80 years old. And I hope I look that good and have such wonderful artistic ability as well. I wished her a Happy Birthday on her FB page. Besides, John loved her 2!

They mentioned Yoko on the show Go On. Matthew Perry's character brought his girlfriend to work and his boss got (eventually) pissed off about it and told him it was getting a little bit too "Yoko Ono." The girlfriend, pretending to misunderstand, says "Oh, the conceptual artist? I love her!"

Happy Birthday Dear Yoko!

Really like this song. Another thing "the boys" did quite well, they wrote interesting, lovely songs for their ladies: http://thebeatlesvideo.blogspot.com/2009/11/john-lennon-oh-yoko.html Also, I like her HALF A ROOM exhibit in Germany. Symbolizes divorce quite well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOKO ONO!!! Yoko was great, entertaining and funny at the Sydney Opera House late last year, in conversation about her life. After her stage entrance she did a 5 minute vocal free form piece without music, but with heavy echo. Then in conversation, she spoke of her life BEFORE John, her childhood, Japan, through moving to the USA , her art, FLUXUS, John Cage etc...and when she spoke about her Bag event with John, to illustrate, she whipped off her hat and boots, and CRAWLED INTO A BAG ON THE STAGE! At the end of the show, the Imagine film clip (Tittenhurst) was projected onto a massive screen behind Yoko and the interviewer: very emotional to sit and watch Yoko, watching herself and John in that very clip. SENSATIONAL!

That's one of the funniest quotes I've read in a long time! Luv it!

Sounds like one helluva treat--so sorry I missed it!

Thank God Yoko never did a duet with TINY TIM!
-
At least Tim had a crumb of talent (even if it was a tiny one--no pun intended) and could approximate a tune. Yoko couldn't hold a tune in a basket! And John must have been drunk when he said the B-52s were doing the same thing Yoko did 20 years before--maybe if you played them backwards at half speed

Your comment is totally uninformed. You've obviously never listened to Yes, I'm Your Angel from Double Fantasy. And a few others of hers too.

Randy, I listened to that song on ITunes and it sure didn't sound much like the B-52s to me.
