Thanks for bringing this topic back up to the front Kapoo. I haven't listened to this one in ages. Listening to Giving Grease a ride right now. Reminds me of a few 70s groups.
another very cool track off that album for sure. I'm surprised Paul didn't promote it more to help his brother get some REAL sales off the album. I bet Mike asked him not to. Wanting to do it on his own etc. McGear is a cool album.
Yeah, no one knew that Mike McGear was Paul's brother here in the States. It could have easily been marketed as a Wings album & sold in the millions, considering how popular Wings was at the time. Paul is a musical genius, but marketing & promotion has never been a strongsuit!

I've known Mike McGear is Paul's brother since about '66 I believe. I remember seeing the photos from Mike's first wedding to Angie where Paul was best man and he was all lovey-dovey with Jane. This was June 1, 1968. Three weeks later was Paul & Linda's "naughty weekend"!!

Forgot about this gem. It will certainly get some airplay this weekend.

If you've got problems! what are your problems!? bring all your problems! straight to me!

I always thought "Have You Got Problems" had a Badfinger feel to it.

It's available on Amazon for about $70 new and $44 used. When it was released, I wished Paul had released it as HIS album...which it really was. Loved it. I believe his brother was in some group named "The Scaffold" or something like that, but the group was not involved with this. Just Paul helping his brother. I thought it was better than what Paul was doing under his own name at the time.

Dang, I bought 2 copies of it on vinyl (1 UK (gatefold) 1 US (sleeve cover) for $5 each! might have hooked it there. kevintee I hear you, especially in verses. sounds like beach boys with the ba ba ba ba's. actually sounds kind of RAM-y for me.

Several vinyl copies on eBay for $13-$20. Vinyl is better anyway
