Kings Dock 2003— Ten Years Today
-
I was only 4 when this happened, but I thought I would open up a thread for those who were at the gig to share their memories. Ten years today. He played "Maggie Mae"!
-
And Anfield Liverpool was five years ago today! What a great concert it was, except that it was shorter than usual.

Kings Dock- Liverpool is my all time fave gig.. I t was beautiful! my first time to England -If I could replay an adventure my entire life, this would be the one! flying into Heathrow taking a cab to my hotel .. I was so tired trying to stay up~ the next day I went to The Beatles store of London & bought me alot of 45's & a Beatles watch & a black & white framed foto pretty large of Paul & Linda . I'm sure you have all seen it.. it's pretty iconic... seeing Baker street,.. I was so full of happiness..the lil internet cafes so I could post here... going to Abbey Road for the first time.. & getting lost the neighborhood was magical after a few days later actually 5- taking that train into Liverpool- eating in the dinning car.. the people of Liverpool was so friendly ! the cabbies hilarious.. staying at the Feathers Hotel recommended by Sam Leach.. the English Breakfast was fine - I loved the china meeting Sam Leach at the Vegas restaurant? eating fish & chips outta newspaper things closed down early... walking down Mathew Street going into the Cavern. was pretty amazing.. & taking in the local Beatles bands as we danced and drank pints..going to Lipa & hanging out with all the press who I waited with; in front so we could capture Paul going into Lipa.. I took their piccies on top of the suitcases in front.. we waited for Paul for a very long time...they said if he drives up to run up to him if it happened Id be in every news paper in the world... I asked them should I do that? YES! they said there was a diversion & me and all the press ran around the corner in the back... that's when Paul popped into the front ops: when he was leaving outta the back gates - we were so close to his grey mercedes... I was trying to get a pic with disposalble camera.. when Paul almost ran over my foot of course the pics didn't come out as the camera was over processed coming back thru airport security... ops: ops: that night we went to a french play ..I downed a pint were I felt almost drunk since it was a long play some of us cut out - and went pub hopping that was great fun.. somebody said Paul & the band was at the Cavern so, I went down in a cab.. and hanged out till 3am -met Brian Ray for the first time and he was wearing a blue leisure suit.. Karen get stepping out Geoff Bakers feet as he was wearing flip flops...and feeling no pain.... have i forgotten to mention Sheffield & Liverpool gigs? Sheffield they messed up our tix and w e ended up sitting really high on the 2nd deck? who remembers ? the interviews with the press & the London Times as some of us were on tv.. and some guy with a camera was following us around before the gigs filming us... walking to Kings Dock from the Adlephi took some time as Sarah F & Swaying Daisy were with me at the Aldelphi Hotel. I bought Sarah a ticket as a surprise as she had driven up from Darby.. we went to From Me To You - and checked it out before going to the gig a few of Paul's people were there and showed us pics of Paul that were unpublished... Paul's eyes in the rear view mirror from the car... they were great fun! another camera crew following us down Mathew Street ... etc... finally getting to the gig early there was already a long line ..we didn't want to sit in the stands so we tried our best for the front. when they let everyone in we ran like hell! alot of tall people were there we met up with Fiona.. Id say we were about 11-12 rows back... they wanted people to tweet & the tweet they picked would get a call back from Paul or something .. Mine & Sarah's tweet No Mines No Meat Paul We Love Your Feet Christina.USA Sarah F.CO.UK one tweet read: will the 7 Foot tall guy move out of the way ! ahhh it was brillaint!! the opening Hello Goodbye.. we were screaming and jumping up and down so loud.. Paul looked at our direction carrying on.. surprised we were at Pauls left and looked at us like " where have I seen them before?" I don't remember the setlist .. but Maggie May was so freaking brill! than we Paul had mentioned John it began to rain...or something like that... being there in the open air was a surreal experience as people from across the river were standing outside on their balcony's listening t the gig!~ I swear it's got to be one of the best times wear I had seen Paul & The band so happy... our feet were killing us when we walked back - than those Home Is Where the Heart is Signs,.. was also special... I'm sure I have forgotten alot it was the top experience of my life!~ with great friends Swaying Daisy - Sarah F & Fi... Sam Leach Jay Jay and If I have forgotten you or details sorry, It's been 10 years !!~ it's is also my mothers birthday I thought of her and I think of her to day as well whome I haven't seen in years ~

That was a fun trip as was Anfield in 2008. I met some great people on that tour group. Saw Swaying Daisy in Memphis. It had been almost 10 years since we had last seen each other. Then penny auction on the way to Sheffield. Liverpool concert was brilliant. Paul in Liverpool is always special. I've been fortunate as I have seen him there 3 times. It's so cool to see Paul in his hometown. I had a great roomie and we've stayed friends--although the Adelphi totally sucked as a hotel.
