Hi Andy, nice thread! LOVE big band! Most women LOVE a guy with a guitar, but for me, it's a guy with a clarinet. ops: Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman...... Thankfully my children LOVE big band as much as I do and have been playing this genre of music for the last five years. The following are a few of our collective favorites: Sing, Sing, Sing - Benny Goodman and His Orchestra, Benny Goodman on Clarinet, Gene Krupa on Drums, Harry James on Trumpet
(Film version, check out Gene Krupa on drums...brilliant!) Nightmare - Artie Shaw and His Orchestra, Artie Shaw on the smokin' hot clarinet St. James Infirmary - Artie Shaw and His Orchestra, Vocal by "Hot Lips" Page In the Mood - Glenn Miller and His Orchestra Stompin' at the Savoy - Benny Goodman and His Orchestra Moonlight Serenade - Glenn Miller and His Orchestra A String of Pearls - Glenn Miller and His Orchestra -
