Tourist-guide-like-book for The Beatles in Hamburg?
-
Hi, is there a tourist-guide-like-book for The Beatles in Hamburg? I want to go there later this year. For London, I enjoyed very much The Beatles' London http://amzn.to/1acl4cV I know there is much less to be found in Hamburg than in London, but is there something like this? Any experience with guided tours?

The book "The Beatles in Hamburg" by Spencer Leigh (published 2011) has a map with Beatles sites and some info. It does mention tours and walks. There's also these web sites you can check out (and I'm sure there are others): http://www.beatles-tour.com/html/u-set1.htm http://www.opencharm.com/me/hamburg/hamburg.html http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187331-d2360965-Reviews-Beatles_Tour_Hamburg-Hamburg.html http://www.beatlesbus.de/de/tour/ http://www.hamburg-travel.com/ http://www.hempels-musictour.com/en/

They played in the Red Light District called the Reeperbahn. Not a real hot tourist destination if you know what I mean. Or maybe it is!

Thank you for the input. I know where they played, what kind of neighbourhood I mean, I am reading Tune In (expanded ed). This sort of triggered me. The Spencer Leigh book looks promising.

Mark Lewisohn quotes extensively from Spencer Leigh in Tune In.
