: When I hear a few of those names I don't even think of them as "plugged".
-
Which reminds me of another issue I had with the show: It got to the point when none of the performances were genuinely "unplugged." Paul's set was truly unplugged.

do you think because its an offical bootleg? well, that what mine says

That was just Paul's sense of humor. It was a legitimately released album, although limited-edition. I'll add that I don't think Paul expected it to sell out so fast.

Yes, I had a lot of respect for him for that. The show later became a mockery of itself.

I thought it was an album Paul released. but I don't give MTV any credit for anything. I mean, they haven't played music in years
-
I've only ever bought two of the MTV Unpluggeds and neither of them are on that list - McCartney and KISS.... (actually, I might also have a bit of Katy Perry (sssh))

I have video of this performance on a old VHS tape but it would be nice if it was officially released one day on DVD/Blu-ray. I assume MTV would have the rights but the audio CD was released by EMI/MPL .

I just watched some of this today. I had Singalong Junk in my head and was humming it all day, so my kid asked what I was humming and I pulled up a YouTube video from unplugged. Beautiful performance - definitely deserves to be on the list.
-
I have Paul's show on DVD. Very cool. Here's Stevie Rics doing Paul & Ray Davies unplugged. LOL.
-
Tony Bennet who has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel has always sounded unplugged. Paul & Eric Clapton were great!

I understand Clapton and Nirvana being on the list but McCartney not beating out any of the others is a shame IMO.
-
Nirvana - Yes, besides featuring some electric on "The Man Who Sold the World" deserves to be towards the top. I also have a special memory growing up on this record. Eric Clapton - Eric being a legend and none the less giving a great performance makes it only right to be on the list. Now Jay-Z or these other bands (some I've honestly never heard of) over Paul Is such a shame. That album is absolutely great. You know I would say it's top five worthy.

Cough! Bruce Springsteen Cough! Love Bruce but c'mon..............I think he was the first plugged and then you might as well have kissed the format goodbye.

This might be the next-best thing to a McCartney Unplugged II. An outdoor rehearsal jam in 2010. With the exception of Brian's bass, this is another truly unplugged set. And I love, love, love, love their "We Got Soul" jam toward the end of this video:

Audi, are you just now discovering this? Yes, it's great!

Oh, no. I've watched it a gazillion times. But it took me a while to make an "unplugged" connection.
