The Only Beatles Song I Do Not Like
-
Believe it or not there is one Beatle song I do not like and that one is The Ballad of John and Yoko. I don't know why maybe its because I don't like the way the song sounds or something. : The way the melody sounds on it kind of annoys me a little for some reason and not too crazy about the lyrics either. I love all other Beatle songs except that one.

not q big fan of christmas time is hear again or any christmas jingles they did

Me likey!

I love this song. So much. It's only John and Paul on the song and if you read about the studio work you will find that it was a good time with those two. In fact, Yoko was going to be next to John and he asked her to stay out to work alone with Paul (on a song about her!). It's a joyous rocking number. And initially you can tell Paul holds back a little with the singing, maybe unsure if he should be singing, but towards the end he is loud and clear.

The 2 Beatles songs I can't stand and always skip are What Goes On and Revolution #9 (which to me isn't even a song!)
-
What Goes On is skipped here too. Also always skipped - Maggie Mae and Maxwell's Silver Hammer. I can't place exactly why I dislike Maxwell's so much, but it just grates on my nerves.

Actually thought is was decent and there are other Beatle songs like "Honey Pie" that I actually disliked.

There are a few I am not fond of: Bungalow Bill Happiness is a Warm Gun Blue Jay Way Dig It Just to mention a few.
-
I always skip Rocky Raccoon, Revolution 9, Don't Pass Me By and Blue Jay Way. Never liked them.
-
How can u guys not like Rocky Raccoon or Blue Jay Way? I can't understand it. RR is silly, but it's quite a catchy little tune. BJW is so "Magical Mystery Tour." I agree that Don't Pass Me By and Revution #9 are garbage though.
-
My dad has always liked the song Rocky Racoon. So do I. Yeah Revolution 9 though I have a hard time understanding that one just a wee bit. :

Agree with 'What Goes On'. It tarnishes an almost perfect Rubber Soul album. It's the definition of "forced" composition. Paul & John felt compelled to give Ringo his 1 solo to sing so they came up with this pseudo-country horrible song. It belongs on Help!, not the majestic Rubber Soul.

These are some Beatles songs I do not like: Revolution no. 9 Wild Honey Pie Ob La Di Ob La Da Why Don't We Do It In The Road You Know My Name Look Up The Number Flying What Goes On
-
It has always surprised me over the years that so many people dislike "What Goes On." It's a genuine Carl Perkins'esque melody; the backing harmonies on the verses are more intricate than ya' might think -- and Paul plays the hell out of his bass during George's solo.

I only hear him holding back on that one word...the Lord's name....

I LOVE "The Ballad of John and Yoko" and always have. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. And I'm old enough to remember when it was first released and radio stations used to censor the chorus, so what we heard was "___ you know it ain't easy." Ah, those were the days.

Yes, they were! We had "Get Back" and less than three months later "The Ballad of John and Yoko," each quickly ascending to number 1, and then along comes "Give Peace A Chance". Soon thereafter we would hear songs from the unreleased "Abbey Road" that radio stations jumped all over. They would say things like "WPGC Exclusive" during the broadcast of each song because they had it and we didn't. I was delirious. Could not wait for that album to hit the shops...a few weeks later. Finally I heard that it was available in one record shop, and only that one, and it was a fair distance from where I lived.....drove there immediately,, however, where it was being played as I walked in.... and picked up my copy. Got it home...took the record out of the jacket on the way to my door just to look at it....and dropped it on cement!! Scratched it. Had to turn around and make the long drive back to that record shop again to get another copy. That time, I bought two....just in case. lol Heady days indeed!

I like it more than I care to admit!

Agreed with others about not liking You Know My Name Look Up The Number, Maggie Mae, Blue Jay Way, nor Flying. I never liked Strawberry Fields Forever, either.
