Ringo Starr and "God"

His drum track on John Lennon's song "God" is awesome (like in all of what he did). I mean take notice of the many variations of drum rolls.

Very true!

Great video on the making of Plastic Ono Band album. Go to the 46 minute mark to hear from Ringo on his drum parts on 'God'.

If you listen to the outtakes of Beatles songs, his drum fills or rolls are always different. He really never did the same thing twice. It is also worth mentioning George Harrison's guitar solos. It's always different.

"God" remains one of my all-time favorite solo Beatle tracks. Pretty much everything about it is perfect.

Could not agree more. With Instant Karma, Gimme Some Truth and Imagine it never fails to send a shiver up my spine. Throw in Woman and Watching the Wheels in that latter period. God is not only musically brilliant, but also lyrically sensational. Hit me the first time I heard it.

When I read this, " Ringo Starr and "God"", I thought this had something to do with Ringo and myself
