"I Feel Fine" Blackpool 1965
-
Does anyone recall a video of the Beatles performing "I Feel Fine" at the Blackpool TV show (Aug. 1, 1965)? I thought I had seen it on the Anthology DVD, but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated...thanks!!

Sure. It was about a week prior to the 65 USA tour. They did the same songs they would do on Ed Sullivan just days later.

Hi Robert...do you know where I can find that video? Is it on the Anthology DVD?

Hmm, I have a set of The Beatle's every show/performance on TV and that Blackpool one isn't listed, so I came up empty.

If memory serves there are a few songs from Blackpool 65 on Anthology, yes. All six songs are available and in circulation on boots by the way.

Thanks, Robert...I have to check the Anthology again.

No problem! Each DVD has a list of what is on it but that for some reason isn't listed on any of the 1965 appearances.

Four songs from Blackpool '65 are on the Anthology II CD and album, including "I Feel Fine". Couldn't find any video of it though.

Thanks for checking, everyone!

What about their concert in Sweden in '63? I believe I read that John thought it was the Beatles' best concert performance ever....or something like that. Is that available anywhere? I wish Apple would put together a combination of that concert with the Hollywood Bowl album and release it. Show people who don't believe they were a good live band how wrong they are.

The Hollywood Bowl remaster is soooo overdue. Think how good they could make something sound now that to my ears already sounds great.

Agreed. With the 20th anniversary of The Beatles Anthology in 2015 ( ), Paul, Ringo, and Apple hopefully have something up their collective sleeves. There are many great concerts they can release, such as the Sweden show '63, Hollywood Bowl and Adelaide '64, Palais de Sports Paris and Shea Stadium '65, even some of Budokan Tokyo and Candlestick Park '66. All that stuff is out there on bootleg. It's high time they release an official Beatles Live Deluxe Box Set!

Apple are bloody hopeless. Always have been. I've always sourced stuff from bootlegs. And in most cases the quality is very acceptable. Apple's biggest stuff up? How about a DVD of pristine promo clips to accompany the massive sales of the "1" CD years ago? Nuh...even though they were all cleaned up, picture and sound wise, ready to go. What Elvis' people and The Rolling Stones have been doing for years makes Apple an inept laughing stock. Clean the stuff up, sort it out and get it out there for the fans. For decades it's been bootleggers leading the way and reaping the rewards...

Agreed. The Ron Howard Live Beatles movie project sounds promising. Hopefully there will be some great audio releases to accompany the film. It is after all, the most neglected and sought after part of their legacy.

That one was such a no-brainer. Can't believe that didn't happen. I mean, even when they released "1", Best Buy did show some videos for the various songs...so someone gave it some thought as a "buying tool" for the album. Why a DVD of videos for each song didn't come with "1" is one gigantic mystery!!! For decades it's been bootleggers leading the way and reaping the rewards...
