Question about Wingspan: An Intimate Portrait
-
I purchased this DVD for my wife for Christmas. We absolutely love how it picked up where the Anthology left off. We hope to see more in the future. Our question is for other owners of the DVD. On the main menu there is an audio loop that plays. We didn't recognize this as a McCartney song, but maybe we are forgetting one. Can anyone help identify this for us?

Hi! Welcome to the message board! The main menu audio loop is 'Mrs. Vandebilt'
Happy New Year! -
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're welcome, glad I could help!

The stuff is great on this! I love the interview Mary does of her Dad!

It was a very appropriate project at the time. A lovely remembrance of Linda's vital contribution to Wings. I'd say, now, that we need a more comprehensive account of the complete Wings story -- an "anthology," if you will. The good and bad -- and new interviews and/or archival interview-footage from all members of the band.

That would be fascinating Audi

Indeed. Also if the op is looking for another good dvd try the McCartney years.

Yeah, Wingspan is more like Paul and Lindaspan. Which is cool. But the story of Wings has yet to be told.

I've made no secret of the fact I think Wings is Paul.... but, yep, I agree the History of Wings cannot be truly told without the input of every member of every incarnation of Wings. And it would be fascinating. I would love to hear from them. There's gold in that. It would be a wonderful special.... but, let's face it, it's not going to get the treatment it warrants without 'the tick of approval'.

Wings was Paul. But it was also more of a real band in the true sense of the word than the current line up he has. Denny Laine was in the Moody Blues and was no mere sideman. Jimmy McCulloch had a rock pedigree before joining Wings. These guys got to write songs and record them and play them live with Wings. There is a story to be told.

Denny did a great interview & it has been out there on DVD for awhile. My friend added some Wings songs to it & it turned out great. I can't remember the name off the top of my head...lemme go check. It was by Prismfilms. Great interview. I believe we have a thread here somewhere.
