Soundcheck Idea
-
I know this will probably never happen, but maybe it could be considered: Adding some more people into the soundcheck for a small cost. Every show sells out very fast, leaving many people without tickets, so how about opening up several seats to be distributed at the box office before each show for the soundcheck? The fans would get the ticket, see the soundcheck, and would leave. The only catch is they wouldn't have a ticket to the actual concert; just the hour soundcheck and leave. IMO it's a fair way to treat the fans who weren't able to snatch tix on ticketmaster.

In some of the smaller cities Paul visited in the US last summer, sound check did not sell out. Music students from local universities were allowed in to sound check only. They were behind us at sound check and paid nothing to see Paul. Most of them had no idea of any of the songs.

I'm starting to wonder if these days being a casual fan who knows nothing about McCartney is the best deal yet!

I wonder if they appreciate him now?

Here is a idea, lower the price - lol. Can't knock being nice to college students but it would have been better to see people who really love him get into this type of thing.

People that love him CAN get in but for a steep price. (and then you stand 40 rows back)

only 40 rows back? I counted 100 rows back , we were behind the entire front section of the field, no other room for the crowd.

In Atlanta we were in front of the soundboard and only 25 rows back (I counted)

Oh my goodness, THIS is when they should be sending out emails to random fans on the email list!

ehhh...not so much. Especially when I paid $1500 for my soundcheck ticket. I think you'd have more people waiting by by phone rather than buying a ticket.

Yes, good point.

I know it goes against the idea that Paul is checking his own sound, but what about letting musicians bring their instruments to play along?
