Why has Glasgow been missed out?
-
Surely Glasgow should have been included in the European Tour. Paul received a great reception last time he played Glasgow, and Glasgow now has the Hydro Arena, which would be ideal. There is availability in May at the Hydro Arena, so maybe something may happen. Fingers crossed.

I'd also been wondering that. The SSE Hydro is the world's no. 2 venue so it makes sense he'd want to see it for himself.

It must be even more aggravating when he adds another London date to his tour too! It's not a UK tour unless Scotland or Northern Ireland are involved as far as i'm concerned. I live 2 hours from London so i'm fortunate, but i certainly feel for Scotland and even Australia that barely or rarely get a look in these days! Also with ticket prices being so high and travelling and hotels coming into play it's really pushing the price up for fans to go much further afield.

As a solo act, no. But the Beatles did... http://www.beatlesbible.com/1963/11/08/live-ritz-cinema-belfast/

rocky wasn't born then.

I was anticipating an SSE Hydro concert whenever he came back to the UK.... But between the Liverpool and Marseilles shows there's a week's gap. If anything were added it would likely be on those dates. And those dates are all available on the SSE Hydro calendar.... Here's hoping!! I'd love to get back to Scotland and never been to Glasgow before. Of course if I had my wish, one of my fav bands Travis (formed in Glasgow) would open for Paul. Fran Healy the lead singer had Paul playing bass on his solo album a few years back.

I am seriously surprised about this Surely, Ulster must be a big market for Macca - I know they are very passionate about music there and with the Odyssey Arena, there's a great venue (with a capacity similiar to Echo Arena in Liverpool). Maybe it's a political thing - Paul has come out in favour of independence of the six counties in the past ("Give Ireland back to the Irish"). On the other hand, he has performed in Putin's Russia, which is not exactly the cradle of democracy.

I'd add the leeds arena as well as Glasgow given they're new venue's you'd have thought he'd have given them a whirl

He must think Glasgow is in Australia!

Well it is just down the road from Perth!

Dublin would be fantastic... I could make it there for a gig. Could probably make Glasgow as well

LOL! And there's an Edinburgh just up the road from me (I'm not kidding).

He probably doesn't want to play Mull of Kintyre.

He doesn't just play 'Mull of Kintyre' in Glasgow so that's probably not the reason he's not playing up here. His last gig at Hampden in 2010 didn't sell out, apparently, so this may have a bearing on whether he travels up here for a show or not. I mean, he's not playing in Manchester or Sheffield on this tour either, is he?
