Dover, DE - Firefly Music Festival - June 19, 2015 - ARCHIVE

I think it would be ridiculous if Firefly is Paul's only 2015 USA appearance. What's the point in getting all of the gear over for one show? I have a feeling that something will go down in NYC in June. Think about it- MSG is swarmed with shows on June 25,26,29,30 and July 1. Leaving Saturday and Sunday open. For what, you may ask? RUSH is playing the Prudential Center June 27 and MSG on June 29. What's the sense in playing Prudential when you can fill MSG for two nights? I don't have any info, but June 27 and 28 at MSG seems interesting. Btw, you were talking to a run-of-the-mill Firefly employee most likely.

A lot of possibilities in the current schedule. You have time June 12th to 19th (Firefly) to squeeze things in and June 20th and July 2nd after firefly. Plus the last show on schedule right now is July 9th so you have the whole rest of July to play with and as far as we know August has nothing on it. Problem being, usually half the month he has Bea and that might hurt any further June plans but let's face it...anything can happen. I would fully expect to see at least some US shows

Just called the Firefly people to inquire about VIP passes and they told me it is Paul's only US appearance this summer and I asked why aren't they billing it that way on their website and they said a banner page will be going up soon declaring that. If this is the case the VIP option may seem like a bargain if it is only US appearance. Bob Gannon-help another Jerseyite out with any info.
Perhaps they meant only announced show? But that banner is convincing...

Never a doubt in my mind..we'll just say

Anyone else going to Firefly or has been to Firefly? Wondering how close one can get to the stage with regular GA tickets (not VIP etc). If I go, I'm camping out early....
-
Wish I was still stationed at Dover AFB
-
Paul's stage time on the 19th is 10pm-1230am which I would think he is doing his full show
-
Broncho is a good band, if anyone is gonna check out the lesser acts I saw them open for Sean Lennon and. Charlotte K Muhl last year. The drummer looks just like Jon Snow, ladies!

The Schedule now says 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. I guess he will have to cut 5 or 6 songs. Lets hope he cuts the boring ones for the kids watching him...like My Valentine! It will be interesting to see what he cuts...they certainly will like Hi Hi Hi and Helter Skelter!

If I were him and had to cut 5 songs for this crowd, I'd drop Mr. Kite, And I Love Her, My Valentine, Listen To What The Man Said, Another Day. I'd be quite saddened to not hear the latter two on my shows this summer, but for a casual festival fan...I don't think any of these songs will make a great difference in their overall experience.

Has anyone heard if/when Paul's segment will be aired live? -Rubber Soul13

This morning's news mentioned Firefly performers including "one of the most anticipated performers this year, music legend and former Beatle Paul McCartney" showing a clip of Paul performing in his beautiful red coat! So happy for all attending, have a fantastic time!!!

I looked on the website a few days ago, and none of the bigger headliners were listed as being shown live, so I don't think they are showing them.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was hoping they'd show at least a few songs...we'll see. -Rubber Soul13

Is anyone on this Board going to this? How will we even find out the Set List if not?

To add to that, does anyone have a picture of his merch at the fest? I know it isn't as expansive as the shows but I would just like an idea of price and design.
