Anyone catching U2's 2015 tour? Have my tickets for Sunday July 26th at MSG. Can't wait! Also, feel free to discuss U2 in the thread. Don't know if there is one... Such a great band!

I first saw them on MTV in the mid 80's. They were riding around on horses in slow motion to the tune of...New Year's Day. Excellent song!! Have listened to their radio played songs over the years and have seen them on television a few times. Their televised rooftop concert of Where The Streets Have No Name was great!! Recent surprise performance by U2 at Grand Central Station...

Caught the 360 Tour on their Anaheim Stadium stop in 2011. Incredible concert! Incredible band! Even with the giant claw UFO thingy they made it seem intimate...for 50,000 people. Great gig!

They have turned in a tribute band of The Alarm don't yoy think
-
Anyone seen the concert yet? I've seen videos, but I'm unclear as to how the giant screen works.

U2 does have a plethora of "deep cuts" that are astounding, and they really pull out all the stops to put on a fantastic show. Tragic that apparently Bono can't play guitar anymore, but he didn't, on stage, anyway. (He had a bad bicycle accident.)

He used to play guitar on a few songs live. In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, the Edge is quoted saying he misses Bono's guitar playing, especially when he's playing solos.
