LOL!!! "The night before, West had spoken to fans at the British festival, declaring himself to be pretty awesome. "I'm going to say this tonight because 20 years from now, 30 years from now, 40 years from now, I might not be able to say it, but I can say it tonight....You are now watching the greatest living rock star on the planet," he yelled from the stage." ""We?re going to send you home now with a rebellious, 'Oh yeah, who?s the biggest rock star in the world?,'? the '60s rockers announced to their fans, before Townshend performed a mindblowing guitar solo."

I actually prefered the Kanye West version. Out of tune perhaps but he did it his own way. I just don't enjoy Idol vocalists, they make everything sound like a Broadway musical, like a parody on rock music.
-
Thank You to The Who!!! I guess Pete and Roger do not "admire Kanye's balls!" "Long Love Rock! Be it dead or alive!"
-
Kanye was staggering bad unlistenable nonsense so bad even my lads, who's 23 and into this sort of stuff turned the tv off citing its absolute garbage,to quote him. The Who however were brilliant as where The Waterboys on saturday proof if it where needed if you have talent it never leaves you,and please enough with the "2 of them its not the who" nonsense theyve every right to be there, they wrote and sang those songs so yea they have the right to still be performing,it really does my noggin in it really does, plus Zak Starkey is a pretty awesome drummer

Oh and in fairness to Townsend asking who was the biggest rock star n the world he added "that'd be Elvis Presley" i dont think they mention that in that article.

I'll have to look for that on youtube.

Kanye West reminds me a bit of the Gallagher brothers of Oasis in the 90s. The bigheaded self-important arrogance. But where some see humor and self-irony in this, others cant't stand him.
-
Right the Gallagher Brothers. About the same.

You MUST be joking.

Yes, but this is about the same as Keith Richards says about David Bowie in his autobiography. He is nothing but a poser... Mick Jagger was influenced by Bowie in the 70s and Keith didn't like it. I'm a fan of both Bowie and Keith Richards. Oddly enough. Kanye West ... I have not heard much of his music. I don't have his albums ... Therefore, I am almost neutral. I've read a lot of interesting about him. Especially as a producer and studio wizard.

Here are some listener reviews of "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy". http://www.amazon.co.uk/My-Beautiful-Dark-Twisted-Fantasy/dp/B00470MD6S/ref=sr_1_5?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1435800487&sr=1-5&keywords=kanye+west It's an album I've read rave reviews of from before. especially within the hip hop community. I kind of felt I was a bit too late to the Kanye West party. I have the "FourFiveSeconds" single but decided to order this album now, beacuse of McCartney, controversey... I Wonder if it was the "Yeezus" album that McCartney liked and made the collaboration possible. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yeezus-Kanye-West/dp/B00CV5ZPA2/ref=pd_sim_15_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0NQCRFS5D9DFGB0A83SG

David Crosby comments... http://www.gossipcop.com/david-crosby-kanye-west-poser-video-huffpost-live-huffington-post-interview/
Nice to hear David Crosby speak on it. He is a great, talented musician. As for David Bowie, he cannot be compared...he is a real legend of rock.
-
Yes, but Kanye West has just started compared to Bowie, who made his debut in 1964. If he continues as he does, I think he will become a real legend of... Hip hop.
