Becoming Vegetarian In Memory of Linda
-
Just wanted to make a quick post about vegetarianism. Being a huge admirer of Linda McCartney, I think it is an honourable thing to become a vegetarian in her memory. It's just a lifestyle change that can make a lot of difference in the world. Hoping to encourage others to make the change, and wanting to see if others have indeed converted as a result of honouring Linda. ------------------------------------------------------------- If slaughterhouses had glass walls, more people would be vegetarian

The 1st time I tried vegetarianism it was for three years right after Linda passed away. At the time, I was in NYC and upset about hearing the news and all I could think to do first was go to the Imagine circle in central park. I had a roll of film and maybe wrote her name on it and left it there. Soon after, I heard that "going veggie" could be a way to honour her. I went to stand across the road during the service held at Riverside Church. When Paul was leaving in a car he either waved or similar at the fans behind the police barriers when he rolled down the window as it drove away. From that day, I went vegetarian. After the three years, I had personal issue that prevented continuing my diet, but I went back to veggie 10 years ago for my own reasons. Without the three year attempt for Linda, I don't think I would have ever tried the change in diet. It has always been worth the effort and I'm glad someone who was so inspiring got me into it.

I heard on the radio yesterday "you will save eight hundred dollars a year if you become a vegetarian"
-
I'll let you know when that happens!

That's how much I would save if I stopped eating donuts.
