Why are so many versions of the lyrics Monkberry Moon Del..?

Nancy R:
P.S. Paul's official site says it is "Phyllis Budapest" which is probably just a made up name like Eleanor Rigby. Official site also says "Pillow up my nose." http://www.paulmccartney.com/albums/songs/monkberry-moon-delight
Nevertheless on the site Paul is manual correction: Phillies - Billy. http://www.paulmccartney.com/books/ram-album-songbook

So, we can draw some conclusions. I am a man who does not know English, I realized that "Beretta" (buretta) probably a gun. "Banana Is older than the rest "- an allusion to the maturity of banana and sweet taste. And who is Billy Budapest? In one forum said that there was a manufacturer of children's clothes (or even pajamas) --Billy Budapest. It's true? And what is it "a brilliant expression of 70" Super Dooray? :
I think Paul's reference to "Banana" in this song and in HiHiHi does not refer to an actual banana my dear! To put it bluntly, it refers to his manhood. Do you know that word? Not sure I can type the actual anatomical word here without being censored!
Yes, for me personally, too, the first to come to mind. But later I learned that the "Banana" in the slang and a clown, and a moron and a lot more then. Can the line "Well I know my banana Is older than the rest "understood as follows? Well, I know, my clown (the image of the role of the clown) is older than the rest. That is to say, "Well, I know what has become the moron sooner than others." And further; "And my hair - it is not clear what it represents, But I'm not a little boy (left my children's pajamas their designer), And I don't get the gist of your letter". I am not sure, I ask you. Whether it is really possible to interpret so these lines?
You're from Russia and since English is not your first language, your interpretation might be different, I'm sure. The sexual innuendo is there for a lot of us for whom English is our native language.

Oh, yes, I know a lot of different interpretations of the song. Including sexual overtones. And Jay Hawkins, for example, believed that this song is about drugs. There are many different opinions. So I in no way sure, but just asking you as a person for whom English is their native language. Just want to get advice from you if you do not mind.

It is also interesting in the manuscript draft. First there was what that Gordon MaCrae instead Billy Budapest. http://coverlib.com/entry/id744017/paul-linda-mccartney-ram-archive-collection-lyric-уса If the link does not open, you can see here: https://yadi.sk/i/yQUsI_npkvVaV https://yadi.sk/i/c0_xuaD_kvVyG PS. Of course! This one, in Paul's handwriting, says "piano" up my nose! https://yadi.sk/i/yQUsI_npkvVaV And yes, you can insert photos as well as links here, or on any thread.

Thank you! Yes, "up my nose". It is also written in the book "Blackbird." https://yadi.sk/i/ngmy_aN5kx9FP https://yadi.sk/i/HWv4Iq-Hkx9DQ I want to insert a picture with the text. I can not do it. Where should press? Which option? :

Wow! This is what we 70 did not know English, and the tapes were very bad-quality , so heard "My very moody life" instead of "Monkberry Moon Delight" and "My love" instead of "Wild life." I never thought that native speakers of English may well be confused words. Excuse me. Laughing I like My Very Moody Life ..great name for a song!!

Sweetie, we were talking about our interpretation of the meaning of the song, not specifically what words we heard. (earlier in the thread we were doing that)

First, you download photos to your computer. Then you go to a site like photobucket.com and create an account. Then you can upload your photos to that account and easily copy & paste the photos to this site. You can also email them to people. The are other options such as "direct link."

You all know this is a nonsense song, right?

So it seems. Only my original question was about why so many official texts of this song? And yet, someone will say what it is in English, the word "ponyo"? It is, in a hand-written draft of the song. :

In this, the handwritten original draft, Paul writes "ponys" and crosses it out. He meant "pony's" or "ponies" You know, a pony is a young horse. https://yadi.sk/i/yQUsI_npkvVaV

Yes, exactly. I did not notice that there is "s". Thank you. Okay, but what is "Super dooray" - "a brilliant expression of 70"? :

Paul's official site says "super doorsy" whatever the heck that is! http://www.paulmccartney.com/albums/songs/monkberry-moon-delight But, it sounds like "super dooray" to me, which is what is written in the RAM songbook. http://vk.com/doc13818497_109727328?hash=8ff72235c889221be7&dl=f9d592cd260198dd3e

And in this version (no music) you can clearly hear what he sings. "Billy Budapest" not "Phyllis" etc.

Can not you see that on the official website a clear mistake? This text is reprinted from the songbook "RAM" 1971. It says "Super dooray". The letters A and S on the keyboard are close. Just missed the mark when printed. There is another mistake - the beginning of the second verse is missing "Well I". This is due to the fact that both are couplet on page 19, and "Well I" - page 23.

I personally had the impression that the text in the RAM songbook was published by ear. That is, listen to songs and then wrote the word under the notes. And write words as heard. And that's why Jay Hawkins sang as in the songbook RAM. But at the same time and has differences from the text in the songbook RAM. The devil himself will not understand!
