Blackbird: The Beatles Album

Anyone getting this album by Milos Karadaglic
-
I will be buying it, only because my runner up to Paul in all time music greatness Tori Amos is on it and i buy everything of hers!! She does She's leaving home with him, her vocals were recorded at her home studio in Cornwall, but she's in Abbey Road studio 2 on this promo footage with Milos.
She has done a lot of Beatles covers live over the years (Something, Here there and everywhere, let it be, she's leaving home, and more), it's great to have this. -
I already have a album of Beatles music played on classical guitar by Göran Söllscher called Here, There and Everywhere: Göran Söllscher plays The Beatles (2003). It has very nice interpretations mostly of Paul's songs (11 out of 17 tracks) but I probably wouldn't buy another similar album.

These types of albums, variations on a Beatles theme have been knocking around since the 70's. The Hollyridge Strings was it? They are a dime a dozen. It's both a compliment to the Fabs and a guaranteed moneyspinner for the artist, however well intentioned. Nothing beats the real deal in my opinion.

Laurence Juber's guitar work is worth a listen and for you younguns, he was once a member of Wings. He's a wonderful player. ...and not that it matters, but a very nice man.

I've met him several times, on Beatles cruises and at AROTR. Great guy and fantastic guitarist! He was Paul's lead guitarist 1979/1980 and was standing next to him when he got busted in Japan!
