wings back to the egg cd
-
hi all,new to the forum,i have a copy of the wings remasterd cd back to the egg,in the repro lp card sleeve of the original cover, but the copy i have has the bonus tracks being, twice in a lifetime,we all stand together, simple as that, the cat number is PCTC 257,i have searched and searched to find info on this release and found nothing,as the bonus tracks on this release should have been wonderful christmastime and rudolph the red nosed reindeer, the reason i bought the cd in the first place,so can any of you macca experts shed any light or info on this release,is it simple a miss pressing,is it collectable? thanks in advance tony

sounds like a bootleg or Counterfeit , hang on to it

It does sound a bit dodgy,if only because the catalogue # PCTC 257 was only used for official vinyl releases, and not for any compact disc issue that I know of.

hiya, and thanks for the replys,as a small update the cd is exactly the same as the japanese issue but in english, mini lp sleeve, lyric booklet and inner cd sleeve with all track details including the tracks i mentioned above, the picture cd itself has back to the egg wings sunny side up MPL with all tracks listed upto babys request, and under the PCTC 257 number is in brackets YEX 987,i still think it is a mispressing cd from possible the pressing plant but would love to know this or any other info,i am a fan but not in a huge way so hence needing the help from you experts. cheers for now tony

A bootleg, I'm afraid.

I agree. These bonus tracks appeared on the 1993 remaster of 'Pipes of Peace'.
