Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors
-
Okay, right now I am "off" of every social media, so don't know if something was rumoured about other dates. If impossible is nothing - I am still waiting (and praying [seriously]).
-
No reason to give up, even small chances are a chance!
-
Actually this could quite make a sense for an european leg of the tour. I've tried to do map of this leg from the beggining in Düsseldorf ending Werchter so far. So we'll see if Rome and maybe Prague will be confirmed.
-
Treu, I approve your way of thinking!
-
And more of that, Paul has 15 days gap between 14 a 30 June. And in calendar of O2 Arena in Prague you can see that week 20-26 June is unoccupied there so far. http://www.o2arena.cz/

Stop the clocks! Paul would add a 4th concert in Argentina on May 21. http://www.lacapital.com.ar/escenario/Rosario-en-la-agenda-de-shows-de-Paul-McCartney-para-el-tramo-argentino-de-su-gira-mundial--20160318-0061.html
-
treu, I hope so! fingers crossed!
-
and btw. he is playing something, some charity show on 25th of June, so gap is smaller
-
I don't think many dates will be added in Europe.

Yes, that was quite a surprise. They're traveling to London tomorrow with an offer. Will it be accepted by Paul's team?

If the answer is "YES" I will see 4 shows in a week in 3 different cities. But too much Macca can't be bad, right?

What happened to the Milwaukee announcement, I'm guessing that show went the way of the dodo bird?
Don't count on it
Bob...you should come out for Summerfest. Its actually quite a good time About 10 side stages (with one well-known headliner at 9:30 or 10:00 each night) and then the major headliner each night at the Marcus Amphitheater. They usually do a big reveal of about 100 side stage acts in late March so that should be coming shortly. Its possible the McCartney reveal will come at that time but I believe the release date is being driven by McCartney's people, not Summerfest.
Thanks! But not big on festivals and July and August I have interest in quite a few shows. Tough decisions will have to be made. Already looking at hotels and travel costs to each
The Marcus Amp is mostly all seated as others have mentioned save for the GA lawn up the hill far from the stage. And if you aren't crazy about fighting the crowds on the festival grounds there is an entrance gate right near the ampitheater so you don't have to navigate the sea of humanity. Not keen on festivals, either, but Paul is the one who would get me back to Summerfest! And Milwaukee is a relatively inexpensive destination. Now if Paul would only offer his VIP packages in the US for the same price as in Europe!

Here is an interview (published today) with the man behind the offer for an extra concert in Argentina on May 21. He mentions how far negotiations are, explains the barriers he needs to overcome for it to become a reality and claims that if an agreement is not reached before April 1st they will lose the deal. I guess that's the date when the other 3 concerts will be announced (or soon afterwards).

Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Those Australia dates have GOT to be coming. I hope so.

Would Marshall Arts/MPL have to sanction press articles like above, isn't it in fact jumping the gun. If I recall, over the years the SA press tend to leak details well in advance of official announcements: still it hasn't seemed to have harmed the relationship between McCartney's people and the local promoters. A very interesting article nonetheless.

There seem to be different rules for different parts of the world, just like there are different prices and fees. At least you can say he's flexible. I guess.
