You should call Fenway Park and ask to speak with security to inquire about bringing in a small step stool. I brought two folding step stools in to the Jones Beach Theater in NY for my kids when they were younger with no problem. It made a huge difference for them. Met Life would not let me bring them in when I went to see Springsteen due to security concerns. They have a policy as a Stadium not to allow any objects that can be thrown and injure someone. When I brought my kids to St. Louis to see Paul a few years ago, I had several discussions with the head of security at Scottrade Center and, while he was very nice, he would not let them in. See if you can make any headway at Fenway. It would be great to be able to name the head of security to anyone who asks and state that you spoke with him and he approved. In any event, if I were you, I would bring one and try to get it in. Worst case scenario is that you leave it outside by the curb.
Thanks for the advice. I have one here that is 8 inches high, which would make a huge difference to me, but is still "normal person" height for those behind me. It's a folding one and I bet it would fit in a big shoulder bag. I really hope they allow it. I will try to find out about security and speak with someone. Thanks!
