Songs to bring back to the set list
-
Replace HI HI HI and insert JET. Apparently was used one night this tour. Make it permanent! Please! Anyone else have others that they would like to be brought back? I have more but will let the board respond first
-
Silly Love Songs, Magneto and Titanium Man, Calico Skies, to name 3. The list is (nearly) endless!
-
Put Penny Lane back in the setlist. He could take Mr. Kite out. And How about Two of Us instead of Maybe I'm Amazed. Only Mama Knows and take out Let Me Roll It To You.

Oh god no. Jet was in nearly every show for 30+ years. Let it have a rest. Hi Hi Hi hasn't gotten nearly the mileage.

Jet should still be on the set list. Penny Lane should be played always The Fool on the Hill Junior's Farm just to name a few
-
Jet? No thanks I prefer "Helen wheels"! Penny lane? Again? Better to hear "In my life" The fool on the hill with his current voice is not so good so I would like to hear Warm and beautiful or Maxwell silver hammer. Junior's farm is a good rock but I am crazy for "So glad to see you here"

Venus & Mars/Rockshow/Jet only saw that trio once at Wells Fargo in Philly August 2010

Calico Skies > In Spite of All The Danger Another Girl > Birthday I'm Looking Through You > Love Me Do I'll Get You > Can't Buy Me Love For No One > Here, There and Everywhere Flaming Pie > Save Us Jet > Letting Go Drive My Car > A Hard Day's Night Your Mother Should Know > The Fool on the Hill Also - Love in Song and Tell Me What You See would work really well with the 1 on 1 Tour concept

Is the 1st song listed the one you want to add or drop? Add, I'm thinking. He needs to do Wait and What You're Doing!

Neither would I! The journalist obviously has no clue.

"Calico Sky" and "Flaming Pie" while great were done too much years back, every time you turned around he was singing these in concert, and "Band on the Run" was really over played when that remastered reissue came out, to the point I even tired a bit of this fantastic rocking anthem. Yet, it may be time to trot out that smashing corker again, if it hasn't already. "Jet" is dead sexy and a thriller, but you don't want nodes to form on his golden vocal chords when added to screamers MIA and Band on the Run, Helter Skelter, etc. Am giddy over just now reading Paul's quote about he will soon be itching to work on a new album, complete new songs already begun, seems imperative to me at the mo to hear one. After he finally gets off the road. How about "C-Moon" followed by "Call Me Back Again" the latter another all out rousing rave or "Don't Let It Bring You Down" which sounds kind of feverish or delirious, or it did on the original album "London town"--with that delightful flute trilling redolent of the Irish in him, harkens to the Old World imparting a strong U.K. vibe. And he looks so wonderfully Irish, more so with each passing year.

My Brave Face Hope of Deliverance Lonely Road - think it was only done for the 9/11 concert

Not sure what you're talking about. He was playing Band on the Run long before the reissue came out and he has never stopped playing it. It's been played on every single tour since 1976 I believe.

"Lonely Road" made its debut at the 9/11 show, but was also in the setlist for the entire 2002-03 tour.

______________________________________________________ It was definitely on the Setlist....went to the show in Philly. He did 3 songs from Driving Rain Lonely Road Your Loving Flame Driving Rain (the song) I remember attending the show with a good friend and fellow Beatle fan. He didn't like the album version of Driving Rain but though the "live" version was much better and he really liked Lonely Road and Your Loving Flame. At that time, Paul's voice was still very good. I thought the "live" Lonely Road sounded even better than the studio. Unfortunately, he didn't do About You (another missed opportunity of a great song).
