An absolutely incredible concert. No question about it. So as far as the voice goes: I think most people overreact on here and make harsh judgments from sh***y recordings. Yes, he's getting older but it's not glaringly noticeable for the entire three hours. I'm not sure what the solution is.
I totally agree w this, it was my third time seeing him and yes he sounds a bit older than 2013, but he sounded a little strained then too. It's nowhere near as bad as what shows up in these online cell phone clips... I don't know if it's just his sound system is so good or if it's that the cell mics are so bad.... but when you are there, his voice is not an issue. He really loves to perform, and he is really high energy at the moment his concerts are a joy. Cincinnati was fantastic too. The signs suck!! We had 5 or 6 right in front of us who would hold up their stupid signs every time he looked their way. It's kind of pathetic!!! And so freakin' rude to the people behind you, we ALL paid our money.

I saw Ringo last month and there was literally 1 person with a sign, and it was small. It was such a better crowd experience. I'm a bit nervous for signs at Hershey now. That said, Paul and his band were just so lovely last night. I really enjoy watching Rusty. He has so much energy and fun on stage.

On that same note at the end there...the people that hold up their phone to film an entire song. I can't handle that. I'll gladly admit that I've got 140 photos from the concert last night. Each one simply required me to hoist my camera in the air for 2 seconds and shoot (approx. five cumulative minutes out of the three hour show) and most of them look damn good if I do say so! But these folks that record a whole song and worse yet WATCH IT through their PHONE. I don't understand...

I took a sign when Ringo was in Baltimore in October because we had 5th row seats and it was a theatre gig. I knew it would be manageable and I knew exactly when I wanted to hold it up during the very last song. I put it in the air once and he looked right at it. It said "Ringo Starr's All-Starr Fans" and he shouted out a big thank you and pointed at us. Super huge thrill! You just have to know ahead of time how to manage it, and be polite.

whoops, WixRocks, I did that! ha! ops: but I am really short and my arm doesn't go that high, and I had a real small sony camera, not a big cell phone. AND I got some great, sharp close video which I will post here once I figure out how to get it on youtube -- so forgive me!! But, to beat all of the signs and the recorders, I had a girl right behind me who was doing an Indian war call whoop almost the whole concert. Even on the quieter songs like Eleanor Rigby, war whoops throughout the whole thing AND the guy with her actually was getting her to do it more so he could record it as a ringtone.... people can be so self-centered, it's hard to believe sometimes. I heard her during the soundcheck too although she wasn't right behind me then -- her whoops were almost louder than the band. If I wasn't a girl, I'd definitely be getting in some fisticuffs at these concerts!! Oh yeah, I have seen Ringo too, twice, his concerts are much more relaxed and just as much fun as Paul - just different. and I got first row seats on StubHub for about $100 each.

The guy in front of me was well over six foot and then felt the need to hold his cell phone up and film. I'd imagine at your described height, it wasn't nearly as disruptive! Another big grievance (this is at every macca show, not just last night) is how many people talk during "Here Today". It's like the most exposed moment of the entire show and they jabber right over it. The two drunk middle-aged bimbos guilty of it behind me last night were the same two that actually yelled "shut up and sing" when Paul was telling the story about the Russian guys learning English from Beatle records...which I suppose I was secretly thinking since I've heard it so many times now

Un-f***ing-believable, as Lewis Black would say. what is wrong with people. Are you gonna post your 140 pics anywhere, WixRocks! ?

I put about 40 of them on Facebook. I never have the patience to upload a bunch. I print them for my albums at home! I'll try and post some into this thread...

Was this in Cincinnati ? I know who you're talking about . Was she wearing a white dress? When she wasn't doing that awful sound ,she had her phone light on ,pointing it right at Paul . I was in 3rd row & we kept turning around to look at her,but she didn't care.I swear she nearly broke my eardrum during the Soundcheck I had a sign but only raised it when he was looking at them .

I agree, the sign thing has gotten way out of hand. I noticed a lot of people holding up signs before the preshow - maybe they could change things a bit & have it known that Brian, the Security Chief, would make a choice then, not in the concert. But I'm sure that wouldn't stop many. Ironically, the more you pay for tickets (i.e. the closer you are), the more likely you will be seated behind a sign. Except for the front-row folks, of course. In close quarters, it's far too easy to intrude on someone else's space - was thrilled to have an aisle seat, and the security people were very courteous. Last year, one young woman with very long, curly hair kept bobbing her head down and they flinging her hair over her head, over and over - it got annoying! But maybe I'm just being an old fart.

I was in Section GG, Row 17. I'm still not exactly sure what happened, but some drunken jerk barreled into our row and started beating the crap out of a guy. The jerk had asked us to pass a beer to "Ken," so we passed it down (we were in seats 1-3). But in the middle of the row, someone put the beer down on an empty seat because nobody knew who Ken was. Evidently, this pissed off the drunk so badly that he decided to beat up some young guy who was sitting next to the empty seat. He fell against us getting to the guy, then fell into the row behind us while hitting the guy. The rest of us got the hell out of the way, and then security had to pull the drunk guy off. The drunk guy was kind of big, stocky, and at least in his 50s. The guy he hit was no older than mid-20s and kind of lanky. He was completely shocked. Also, before the show, Fred Armisten walked right by my row, passing close to my daughter who thought that was pretty cool. I had no idea Natasha Lyonne was there as well. Were they there together?

_____________________________________________ Can't believe your report. You would expect that at a Eagles game but at a Paul McCartney concert. Normally there is a lot of love among Paul fans.

Yes, it was Cincinnati I am talking about. I don't know what she was wearing, I never turned around to look at her, I would have not been nice! But we were in section 3, row 5, seats 1&2 on the aisle. So kind of on Brian's side but closer to Paul. The war whooper was directly behind me, one seat over. So she woulda been sec 3, row 6, seat 3!! I know where you live!! haha.. Great seats and I loved that there was an aisle. I did see a woman who was about 6 feet tall and 30 lbs, dark tan, wearing a tight white dress... I think she was in sec 2? close to us. yeah, whoever did the loud Indian war whoop, it really echoed in the empty arena at soundcheck, didn't it?!!!

That's absurd...witnessed something mildly similar at Yankee Stadium. And yes, they sat together. I'd say about Row 10 in center section DD on the aisle. They came in about 8:20...I think they were hoping to come in late unnoticed and weren't. When I looked up during the chorus on "Hey Jude" they were both gone.

I loitered near the stage after the show and there was an older guy (50ish) who was screaming and threatening a young woman working for the venue over a seat. Shortly after that a security guy came through and told everyone to leave. This was my first concert with alcohol served and I could definitely tell a difference.

When Denny Laine was with the British Invasion tour in Lancaster last year, he was quite upset that Lancaster is a dry county. I expect it to served at shows (I don't drink) however, I can't stand when they walk around with the damn thing on their head selling them during the show.

A friend of mine was there last night. She was way up high so was sending text messages during the show. We did sound check together in Philly last year. One of the women who got on stage last year was loud and boisterous. It was also her 2nd time getting on stage and she was quite proud to let everybody know that after the concert. Last year, she knocked chairs over after the concert and told somebody "I told you I could get on stage again". That had not gone over well with Paul or all the other people hoping to go on stage. I didn't have a sign. We both found her to be rude and obnoxious and she didn't care about anybody else. She may, and I say may, have been the woman with the large sign. My friend said she had a sign asking for Paul to tell her hi from the stage. My friend also thought Paul's voice was hoarse and scratchy on many songs.

The seating chart which I based my buying decision on.. Showed the 3 center floor (field) sections equal in size, spanning the stage front ( CC,DD,EE) so I was thrilled to get front row section CC tickets..looking like I would be in front of Rusty. Arrive at the venue, and the center DD is 2-3 times the size pictured and section CC is pushed far to side in front of projection screens. This was totally deceptive selling , ticketmaster (not Paul). It was an extreme side view.. Never seeing the back of stage, Abe, or Wix.. The screens being so close, they were hard to see... I know, first world problems.. But I feel ripped... Front row tickets being so bad, and there were 10 more people worse off than me in the row..I felt disconnected -disengaged from the performance... So beware seating charts are not to scale! Thanks for letting me sound off on the board.

She was there with a large sign pestering Brian Riddle before the show. I'm not sure where she was seated because I didn't see her once the show started. She was not pleasant to see on stage last year...this year's were very clever and touching in their own right!
