Great show, as always! Paul's voice got better as the night went on, though he struggles a bit on the usual songs. Band sounded great. Cluster editing the stadium and parking, but that's Hershey. Looking h forward to the DC show in a couple of weeks. We had lousy seats for tonight, but we're doing multiple shows in the tour, and have a Disney vacation coming up, so we were willing to sit further back. Girl in front of us shot vertical video the whole show. She must hate her friends. Vertical video? Madness!

Was looking forward to more reports!

Just read a very positive review of the Hershey Show from one of the Lancaster On Line Media outlets. I think the reviewer's name was Janelle Janci. I could have the spelling wrong so I apologize to her if I do. Anyway, from her picture Janelle appears to be a quite young (a millennial I would guess) and she loved the show. On top of the great song performances, she emphasized Paul's humanity for being such a big star. She mentioned that his voice isn't what it once was, but it is all the little things (getting back to his humanity) that makes his show so special.

What's with the extra security? I got a Ticketmaster notification yesterday about that for tomorrow's Hamilton, ON concert.

The show in Hershey last night was AMAZING. Even better than when I saw him in 2013. His voice sounded great, he and the band were tight as always, and there were so many new songs from when I saw him last time that it felt very fresh. He seemed really energetic and bouncy and the night was made even more special because I took my wife (her first time seeing him!) and our friends took all of our kids overnight, so it was the first time we had an overnight to ourselves since our oldest was born 12 years ago! Incredible show. I obviously had concerns about his voice from earlier in the tour but he nailed everything IMO. The bass was mixed nice and high, too, so you could really hear some of those great basslines he played. I'm going to write up a more detailed bit for my blog and include all of the pictures I took, but wow...Paul still brings it!

It was great! Was really glad I splurged and got gold tickets. 7th row center was unreal (much better than 2nd row on the end of the stage at Philadelphia), not too many intrusive signs except occasionally the people in front of me with the multiple signs of his face (odd...I think he knows what he looks like haha). Got there early enough to see him arrive (accidentally and because of that I was on Nancy's side because security wouldn't let me cross, but still really cool) and was luckily able to have a view of the soundcheck through the fence in the court yard. Saw Brian walking around writing down what signs said before the concert. Didn't notice that in Phili. No real complaints. There were a few off vocal moments, but the majority of the time he killed it. I just love watching Paul and his band perform. Seemed in a great mood with lots of energy. Got to finally hear the Jimi Hendrix story (he's never told it when I've been there), the red square story, making fun of people for not getting blackbird right, pretty par for the course but I don't mind. He pulled up a young girl whose birthday it was (she asked him to sign her sign) and a teacher asking for his signature on her back for show and tell (and then teased her when she asked him to also sign her arm - he did it anyways). He kept laughing at the 'Paul for President' sign a lady held up. Hope he comes through again soon.

For phili and hershey it just said due to extra security be sure to arrive early. Everyone has to go through a metal detector and have their bags searched.

___________________________________________________________ Thanks for the report Dr. Beatle. Glad your wife finally got a chance to see Paul. Thank God we have around. He really loves to tour and the fans. Ringo has sometimes described Paul as a "workaholic". For the fans, thank God he is.

Amen to that! We are so lucky. Thanks everyone for sharing their experiences; I am glad it was another fun show

You're welcome! He obviously loves what he does, and he's a master at it!

The email said plan for AT LEAST 45 minutes to get through security...yet my wife and I spent about 30 seconds going through security and walked right in!

Did they start letting people in earlier than originally scheduled?

No...the security was in an outer perimeter around the stadium. You could go through that at any time. After that, you were in a fenced in area inside the big parking lot that was filled with merch tents and food stands. The actual doors to the stadium didn't open until 6pm on the dot, so my wife and I ended up spending about a half hour roasting in the blazing sun in that fenced in area until the doors opened. The security was far from what they made it sound like in the email...I took my wallet and keys out of my pocket and they just patted down the outside of Mrs.Beatle's purse...that was it!

I am hoping that I can time the D.C. shows right as far as getting in! A half hour can be miserable standing outside in heat and humidity though the shows are inside. No more baseball or stadium shows for me which is why I decided on the two D.C. shows.

Hersheypark Stadium is an outdoor venue, so there wasn't any relief until the sun started setting right around when the show started. Then it was quite pleasant! We live only 5 minutes away from the stadium and we "cheated" by using our Hersheypark seasons passes to park literally right next to the stadium. We were afraid of how long security was going to take so we got there early (~5:30pm) but obviously we were a bit over-cautious as it turned out more than fine!

Man, that's lucky with parking. I parked across the street under the Welcome to Hershey (Paul) sign. Walking back after the show I felt like a Walking Dead extra.

HAHA! I know exactly where you mean...it's not that far, but it was packed! Like I said, we "cheated" and used our seasons passes to get to the preferred lot literally right next to the stadium. Even so, it took us an HOUR to get out of the parking lot...and we live not more than 2 miles down the road!

As usual, here's my write-up of the Hershey show last night, including the best of the pics I managed to take. I hope you enjoy it, whoever reads it! --> http://rnrchemist.blogspot.com/2016/07/rockshow-part-2-paul-mccartney-live-at.html
