NICE! I hope it's on my PBS channel.
-
It's already been broadcast in the UK and is a great series. It doesn't mention The Beatles too often but is fascinating overall and covers a lot of different genres of music.
-
Can't wait to see it!
-
When will this be on Youtube?
-
THANKS Very cool
-
I hope someone will keep moving this thread to the top so we won't forget.
-
Bumping up the thread... the series starts airing on PBS Monday Nov 14th They are running both episodes 1 and 2 back to back starting at 9 PM EST but check local listings in your area.
-
I was just gonna bump this! I heard on the radio the 1st week will show the Beatles!
-
Have my DVR ready to record this so I can watch it when I'm able!
-
Here in Atlanta, they are showing part 1 from 10-11 pm and every weeknight same time for new episodes. They repeat at odd times, and there is no new show Friday at 10. It is on Saturday at 3 am!
-
I'm probably more excited or have greater anticipation for this series than the Eight Days A Week movie.
-
I can't find it here. But I know someone will be taping it & burning it to DVD. ahh...I found it...10 pm.

Yeah...it should be good. The promos look great. So much talent back then!

Same out this way too. I have the DVR set to record each night since I have to get up at 5AM each morning for work!
-
I caught a big chunk of this the other night, with sections on Sam Phillips and George Martin. Fascinating.
-
Interesting and informative! I liked the story about how Paul signed the sheet music for the strings on "Yesterday"
-
Part 2 had a lot about the Beatles in it! Loved Roger Waters' story about how they first heard Sgt. Peppper and he's like "F&#k me!"

That's pretty much the only episode with significant Beatles content. They get mentioned in passing in other episodes but nothing much more in-depth.
