Michael McGear 'Woman' album reissue
-
Next month will see the re-issuing of Mike McGear's 1972 album, 'Woman', as a remastered edition, which features a photograph of his (and naturally,Paul's) mother on its cover. Unlike the follow up album, McGear*, Paul doesn't appear on this album. https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/woman-remastered-edition/

Funny how nurses in England were dressed like nuns and referred to as "sister." Was that only when they worked for Catholic hospitals?

Fascinating to see this rereleased. I have it on LP. I wouldn't call it "classic," but there's definitely good stuff on there, like the title track, and the bluesy "Sister," and the bouncy, melodic "Bored As Butterscotch," which some people think Paul had a hand in writing.

If you click on this link, then scroll down to the songs where they list the writers, and click on "Friend" it takes you to Paul McCartney! Had to delete link. Didn't take you to correct place. Just Google the album and get on the Wikipedia site for it. Scroll down to the songs/writers.

I'll try the link from this side of the pond, Nancy. But as wiki is unofficial, the 'friend' link to Paul's site doesn't really mean much. It might be Paul though. (link deleted) Nope, the link didn't work properly for me either.

Those Wikipedia links always screw up when you copy and paste them!

Mike definitely looks like his mum.

Look at her eyes and eyebrows - Paul! And I think Paul's daughter Mary resembles her as well.
