Nowhere Man - Off Broadway

See link below for details regarding Off Broadway show about somebody being Paul McCartney's body double. Sound like it could be fun if done fairly well. http://www.broadwayworld.com/off-off-broadway/article/Cast-Announced-for-NOWHERE-MAN-About-Paul-McCartneys-Double-at-TNC-20170501

Yeah, I read that article a few days ago. Don't think it's a comedy... it's a fictional story about how George Martin and Neil Aspinall would have hired a double to replace Paul... because in the play's story the real Paul is dead. Hesitate to bring up the "Paul is Dead" myth... but if I lived in NY I probably wouldn't go to see this because I wouldn't want to support that urban legend, which isn't true in the first place. There can only be one Paul, there's no one in the entire world like him,he has musical gifts and talents that no one else has and he could never be replaced It's interesting how the Beatles can generate this kind of legend. There's another urban legend out now where someone claims they travelled by accident to a parallel universe, and found there's another Paul, George, John and Ringo there who are all still alive and touring... Don't believe that theory either, but there's some people that do ... it's at
(It's interesting that in that "alternate universe" they have the capability of traveling through dimensions of time and space but never advanced technologically beyond cassette tapes ) Anyway, if the play was a comedy that proved at the end that the Paul is Dead legend isn't true and just a bunch of nonsense, maybe I'd enjoy the idea more But if someone goes to see it and really enjoys it, maybe they can share more about the story from a different perspective and people may be interested in seeing it. -

I am a Broadway person and rarely see much Off-Broadway but this could be fun/interesting. I don't live in NY anymore but still visit a couple of times a year. I will check out the reviews when it starts playing.

I thought I read that Paul was not supposed to be dead, just in an accident and out of commission, so they hired a double. (I mean that is the premise of the play) Hope someone here can see it and give us a review. ETA: Yes, read the article the OP posted. Paul just "wanted a break."

Thanks, Nancy, that's important to know about the play. Should have read that more closely. Does sound like it might be fun to watch now
