Liverpool 2003 - King's Dock gig
-
Hi all, I was just thinking about the last-minute show which Paul played in Liverpool at the King's Dock arena. Do you remember the heart signs they were handling out, white with a red heart and the words 'Home is Where the Heart Is' ? I guess they handed out a few thousand that evening, but not everyone will have kept them. If I knew how to upload pics from my computer, I would show you a pic of mine I was wondering how much one might be worth. (Not that I'm planning to sell mine - I treasure it more than any other of my possessions as I got mine signed at HMV last December!) Any ideas?

I have 2... one is posted in my office at work. The other is signed by Rusty, Brian and Abe... it's been all the way across the pond with me and across the country a couple of times, lastly in Vegas to be almost comfiscated by security at the Joint. I'm sure it's monetary value is zero... it's simply a laminated sign that was neither numbered nor significantly identified.

Wait... there it is in my siggy...

I came home from Liverpool with a few of these that I picked up on the way out of the venue. Sold them on eBay right away. They did have monetary value then.

OMG, you were there?!! How fantastic!! I was supposed to go, but ended up being unable to attend. I have a group of friends that went and was supposed to go with them! I wanted to go so bad!! We picked them up from the airport when they arrived back home in Chicago. They were all holding up their red hearts!! So cool for all of you who were there!!! I just happened to find this post as I was just Googling the date of this concert and this post came up in the search! Probably none of you are on here anymore... I've only been on a couple times in the last few years. Those were the days when we were all on here daily! Now were all on FB I guess... I only know who a few of you are on there, as we don't use these name anymore... I know you on there though, Harley!! I'd love to hear from anyone here! Drop me a line on FB...I'm Georgiann Anton Pikosz on there. 2: Wow, somehow it feels so good to post on here, even though no one will probably see this...feels like visiting an old friend!!

Have framed mine: I picked up too several from the floor by leaving the venue and gave these over the years to friends.
So sweet to pick up extras and give them to friends. That's the Beatley thing to do! Those hearts mean soo much more than money... Wish I had one; maybe someday I'll find someone with an extra...one can always dream! Kudos to you for doing this, Roos!!

What a night! great show, magic place. I still have my heart and gave some to my friends. One of them tried to have it signed by Paul lately but didn't succed. Maybe It wasn't a good idea to try to get his attention by showing the heart. Wasn't it an HM idea?

Hmm...my memory is bad, can't remember - was that her idea? I held up a sign at Wrigley Field 3 years ago that contained a line from a song written about her. I was up close and he saw it, but turned away... Probably wasn't a good idea for me to make that sign. I was hesitant when I first thought of putting it on the sign, but I decided to go ahead and do it, as the line also could have a great meaning from a fan to Paul. which is how I meant it of course... The line was written for her though, so I should have known better...hey they should write a song like that!

I was there. 8 rows from the front approx. One of the best gigs ever remember walking through the city centre and could hear him soundcheck. People were standing outside the baltic fleet with a pint listening:-) I had to drive up to central Scotland afterwards - I was working the next day, but it was well worth it

Let's remember this gig today. It was 14 years ago, I was there. I even was inside during the soundcheck (near Peter Blake!) which , made it officially the longest set I have ever heard live from Paul. One of the best Macca gigs ever! Anyone has pictures?
